1. It's really unfortunate, because he could have been such a great asset
Everyone wants to hear an ex-president speak. It could have been a very effective double campaign.

Someone got the idea to turn the Big Dog into the ATTACK DOG. It didn't work at all.

I find it impossible to believe that Hillary couldn't have vetoed such an attack dog role from the start if she really objected.

It is really sad, not only because it hurt Hillary's chances of being president. It also greatly diminished Bill's stature. And for nothing.

11. He was a huge distraction
Honestly, I thought he was smarter than that but he's been a huge distraction.

Since SC and their effort to marginalize it as a "black victory", her campaign really took a hit. Before SC, I thought he was doing fine, campaigning positively for Hillary. I saw him as a great asset for her.

Then he claimed he was against the war from the beginning (a big lie) and claimed the idea that Obama opposed it was a "fairy tale". Seriously though, Bill is a master of words. What the hell was he thinking using the term "fairy tale" to describe any aspect of Obama? It made little sense. His worst comment was saying that Jesse Jackson also ran a good campaign in SC, trying to compare Obama's campaign with Jackson's. Of course, there was also Hillary's misstep in discussing President Johnson, which by itself would have just been a slightly insensitive comment, but excusable. But with the rest, it showed what some thought to be a pattern of bringing race into the foray.

Overall Bill's idiotic comments may have proved to be the beginning of the end of her campaign. Many, including myself, lost a lot of respect for Bill Clinton over the course of this campaign. His comments were undignified and not worthy of an ex-president. Truly disappointing.

12. As frustrating as it was for me to watch - he did hinder - in SC
When all of the dust settles and if Hillary can't pull this one out (btw I'm still plugging for her)... it will get blamed ultimately on him. His behaviour in SC was the tipping point. It gave folks the excuse that they had been waiting for to unleash the irrational hatred.

13. After this is over, we will see Kill Bill Part 3!
Bill made an ass out of himself in SC, and it was because of him that there was such a dramatic shift of support by AA from Clinton to Obama.

16. The "gift that keeps on giving..." If Hillary Does get the nomination, Bill will have
pretty much insured that in November the AA vote turnout won't be high for Hillary either....
