3. Please don't take it for granted.
A lead in the polls, does not equate to voter turnout. Right wing press in Cleveland and throughout the Nation is trying to not get Republicans to vote in the Republican primary in Ohio. Ohio allows open primaries. Republicans could pick up a Democratic ballot and screw things up. As they did McKinney in Georgia. Kucinich has great new TV ad, reminding Clevelanders of all he has done for working class people. We need assure enough solid Democrats turn out to overcome Republican meddling.

5. But ... but... if the Republicans vote in the Democratic primary,

doesn't that mean they have seen the light and are going to vote the straight Democratic ticket in November? From what I've been reading on DU, we're going to sweep South Carolina and even Utah in the general election.

Go, Democrats! And don't let the fascist cross-overs defeat one of our best people.

that is not what the Repug. strategists are trying to do. Their goal is to make them vote just to defeat Kucinich. A real Democrat and replace him with a machine corporate type. Many a Democrat actually support Republican goals. Those who advocate a vote against Kucinich would expect their forces to come back in November and vote straight Republican. Not for the Democrat turn coat. Not an unusual action. In open primary states, it happens all the time. Both parites do it. Reason, they advocate such ; there are no significant Republican primaries in Ohio. Why the need to vote Republican, McCain has it all but wrapped up.

I should have used the :sarcasm: Smilie.

When Republicans cross over, it's to screw us over in the general election, despite what many who post on DU seem to think.

:hi:

10. How about the new Rep from Maryland
Ms. Edwards? who defeated a DLC type in the MD primary. She sounds pretty progressive. many like her and Dennis will have some help in climbing that hill for us all.
