Obama builds lead in Texas- Ohio too close to call
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 09:03 AM by catgirl
Texas: O-48, C-42 Ohio: O-42, C-44

-snip-

Obama has built a six-point lead over Clinton in Texas, largely on the strength of support from what has come to be his base – younger voters and men. Evidence of his persuasive powers comes from the fact that most of those who have most recently decided for whom to support, while Clinton won more support from early deciders.

In Ohio, Clinton holds a slim lead that has diminished steadily in past weeks. Her strength stems from the same demographic groups that carried her to victories earlier in the campaign, but the trend appears to favor Obama, as late deciders are more likely to support him over her, the survey shows, and 9% of Ohio Democrats say they have yet to make up their minds. Another five percent voiced favor for another candidate not now in the race. Some of those may have already voted, but some may have yet to do so.

1. Ohio - the last holdout for Clinton. Somehow this doesn't surprise me in the least
Given that Ohio, in their wisdom, put Bush in the Whitehouse in 2000 and 2004, you've got to think there's something in the water there. Lead maybe?

3. The nasty ass cheaters that did that in 2004 were swept OUT the first chance we got in 2006
lock, stock and barrel. And Kenny Blackwell is about to get the big must appear note from Mr. Conyers.

Now, will the Repubs try to disenfranchise voters in the GE...yep..count on it. Will there be enablers at the state level to help them achieve that? Nope.

4. We weren't the only ones and our R. SoS rigged it anyway..
And I resent the suggestion that there is something wrong with supporting Hillary. This is the third time in two days of intermittent reading on this website that I have seen the sanity of HC supporters being challenged. I say again that if I see any kind of loyalty gestapo if O is somehow elected in Nov., I will be the first to get the flintlocks and tri-corner hats out of mothballs.

I guess I'm wondering what it takes to convince the country, at least for now, that an empty suit with no foreign policy or national security credentials is qualified to be president. If this is not a personality cult, then what is?

We are so screwed.

2. I was listening to an OH journalist this a.m on NPR
He said it was going to be very close. I'd love to see Obama sweep on Tuesday and just end this thing. He's in RI today, maybe he can make some gains there.

Now Hillary is saying he has to sweep all 4 states on Tues., or else
it means the voteres are having second thoughts about Obama. Talk
