Caroline Kennedy campaigns for Obama
February 29, 2008 11:51AM

A sparse crowd gathered at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Rite Catholic Cathedral in Parma this morning to hear Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg talk about her choice for the next president - Sen. Barack Obama.

Though she arrive in plenty of time, Kennedy Schlossberg's brief speech was delayed by about 20 minutes to give people a chance to get through the driving snow and icy roads to the event.

But the 40 people, many saying they were still undecided about their vote for Tuesday's Democratic primary between Senators Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, warmly greeted the daughter of the late John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy Schlossberg concluded that this election may very well be decided by women.

"How great is that?" she said smiling. "Our role is particularly important in this election. It's critical that we have a president who will fight for families," she said.

And for those who chose to pull out the "sparse crowd" comment, it's been snowing like hell here most of the day.

2. No.
It has to be either 20 below or we have to have 8 inches of snow (or more) for schools to close here.

3. I grew up there. About 4 miles from that location.
Two of my older sisters went to Byzantine High School in the 60s.

I remember many a winter in the Snow Belt.

4. I saw her with Michelle at UCLA and it was obvious that she did not like the huge groups
I am sure she felt much better with a small group where she could simply talk informally
