While we Democrats are viciously fighting one another
to set up one of our candidates to become POTUS, Bush and his minions are systematically taking away our freedoms, setting up semi-public meetings to kill off the whales, polar bears and wolves in order to drill for oil, find minerals and wipe out trees in our national parks and forests.

We ridicule him, but no one is stopping him. Do you honestly believe that vindictive, nasty little man is going to walk away to let the Democrats tear down everything he has built up for corporate America over the past 7 plus years.

Flame away!!!

1. And, the presumptive GOP nominee said "Vote early, vote often" at end of the speech
CNN aired today.

I posted it, but no one else seemed to catch.

We've lost our way. I hope it's found soon.

I hate when the underground goes mainstream.

2. And Dems in Congress are helping Bush get away with his crimes
That's why there's such an intense struggle to pick the best Dems to go up against these guys!

3. I have to disagree.
This primary has energized us and breathed new life into our Party. Have you not noticed that people are Listening? Paying attention? Participating? People who DID NOT CARE in 2004. Primary debates are getting record ratings for Pete's sake. If it's uncomfortably close, that's the price of admission, and I, for one am willing to pay it. What you are seeing is what apathy doesn't look like.

NOBODY could have predicted that this would happen. If you're not excited and inspired, you're not paying attention.

The remarkable GOTV effort for 2004 doesn't hold a candle to this. This is GOOD for our party. When voters participate Democrats win.

I have every confidence that both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton are very aware of the big picture here. It may not be pretty, but it sure ain't boring. Let the other Party try to drum up anything approaching enthusiasm for Venerated Senator McCain. I don't envy them that task.

4. So what happens when Bush invokes the Security Directives he signed
in May of 2007?

5. Rioting in the streets, I would guess.
He will go. Didn't you see it in his face yesterday? He is defeated and demoralized. Cheer up. I really believe this is do-able.

7. There's that word again.
HOPE

I belong to an organization along with a sister-member who has been a passionate advocate for Ron Paul. (I live in seemingly irredeemable Republican country.) The opening at our last meeting was an anecdote that spoke of the healing power of HOPE. It was unintentional, I mean really when did HOPE get to be a political thing? But my sister ... grimaced, and shifted in her chair.

How do you run an anti-HOPE campaign? It will serve us well if both of our candidates can find a way to embrace this idea of HOPE and believe in it first for our party and then for our country. We are all desperate to HOPE again. We are all, as a nation, weary of the FEAR and the HATE and the WAR and the ominous sense that we are past HOPE.

We long for HOPE and PRIDE and UNITY again. These times remind me very much of the dawn of the Reagan Revolution. This time, WE are delivering the message of HOPE, and I think ... no, I HOPE that this message resonates in these times as it did then.

8. Democrats are not "viciously fighting one another". If you call this fighting, you're a wuss.
There, you have been flamed. :)
