1. I hope we can decide on a nominee soon so we can concentrate on McCain.

2. Exactly--anyone who thinks those numbers won't change once we finally nominated someone...
...is kidding themselves. McCain is following George W. Bush, fer crying out loud!

4. I simply don't get it
McCain's campaign was on it's last ropes in December, out of money and down in the polls.
Then suddenly in January, he popped out as the front-runner from all those who had campaigned for months and had loads of money.

And now, NOW he is leading the Democrats? :wtf: happened???

Is it for real, can it be believed?

5. Well the democrats have spent months
tearing each other apart, while McCain has gotten off scot free. The longer this primary continues, the more damage is done.

What did you expect to happen?

8. No, it can't be believed.
Always double check facts posted on the internet. Here ==> http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08gen.htm

Obama, on average, is ahead of McCain.

6. Reality check
Look at the 5 most recent polls

Obama is ahead of McCain in three polls, by 10, 12, and 7 points respectively
McCain is ahead of Obama in three polls, by 1, 2, and 1 point respectively--all within the margin of error.

What was your point again?

7. You win this thread. McCain's "leads" are essentially ties.

10. Agree with Clinton/McCain tag team as the problem
I really hope we end this primary on Tuesday. The problem is Clinton reinforcing McInsance attacks. The fact that we still average a small lead is encouraging, but the longer this double team happens the worse for Democrats.

Having said that, I'm confident that OH and TX will end this thing for us and allow us to unite against McInsane.

11. This too shall pass
None of these head to head polls matter until summer.

I view this as bad for McCain. He is in presumptive nominee mode right now with no one firing at him while Hillary and Obama are attacking each other.

By early April, McCain will be stale and the Dem nominee will be clear. And then everyone will see what an angry old man he is.

12. You can't believe National polls
right now, especially with two democratic candidates still running in the primary.
