A thought on the never-ending McClurkin debates: What do you think of Dick Morris?
Granted, one normally would not link McClurkin and Dick Morris....but I'm a remarkable human being.

From what I can tell, Obama is being criticized because he had pretty reprehensible person MC an event for him once. Fair enough, I guess.

My question is, Bill Clinton employed Dick Morris - who is quite possible the second or third most reprehensible human being to ever hold a prominent position in the executive branch. Karl Rove and any number of Richard Nixon's minions would battle for the other spots.

As far as I can tell, the Clintons never really distanced themselves from Morris until he started attacking them publicly. (In fact, I'm not sure Bill has ever said world one about him - I didn't read his biography in its entirety).

So, my question is this: Does a politician have to publicly rebuke every disgusting person they have ever associated with?

1. Obama does, apparently.
But he doesn't complain about it.

2. Clinton fired Dick Morris
thats a pretty big rebuke in my book. I had the impression that Hillary always loathed Dick Morris.

3. He worked with Clinton after getting fired (during impeachment)
He's the one that gave Clinton his strategy for surviving impeachment, in that "lying about sex" was understandable.

6. Actually, when Morris was publically humiliated and forced to resign
Hillary ordered the staff not to say anything bad about him in public. She was worried that he was troubled enough to commit suicide.

That says a lot about what kind of a good person Hillary is. And what kind of a bad person Morris is.

8. And Dick was working for the Clintons again in 1998
So, they will rely on an awful human being in times of crisis. Bill always went to Morris for help at his low points: '82, '94, and '98.

Do you ever see McClurkin providing practical advice to the Obama?

10. Morris hadn't acted as hatfeful to them in 98 as he later would
and why do the Hillary-haters have to trash her non-stop? Can't they EVER leave her alone?

11. He was still an awful human being
You are confusing the point.

Dick is an awful human being and had real power. Scary power. He pretty much set our national agenda for two years. According to Stephanopolous, he was trying to set our foreign policy as well.

McClurkin is a an awful human being and will never have real power in an Obama White House. I doubt he ever sees the inside of the Obama White House.

12. Stephanopolous also said that he was denied that right and completely excluded
from foreign policy making decision.

David Axelrod is bad enough. Obama has shown me that he will do anything to win. Maybe he will. But he may have to do it without my vote.

4. Dick Morris doesn't think that GLBT people are child killers
the difference is obvious.

5. He is also a cynical quasi-conservative who had the strongest influence on domestic policy
My guess is that McClurkin will have 0 impact on policy in an Obama WH. Morris was the leading voice in the White House for possibly two years.
