Signs of the Hillpocalypse: Fran Drescher is apparently a Hillary Spokesperson
That's right,the Nanny.
She was on Larry King tonight shilling for Hillary. She even gave a little mini-speech in Spanish "to reach out to Latinos".
What a tortured moment that was. The other panelists seemed to be embarrassed for her.

When you have reached the point where it seems like a good idea to have the woman with the most irritating voice in the world speaking for your campaign, you are nearing rock bottom. And I think we can agree that saying Fran Drescher's voice is horrible is not a sexist statement, it is a given fact.

Seriously. It's just getting really sad now.

1. She's actually a popular activist
She speaks to women's issues on a regular basis. I don't think she's that bad to listen to.

4. She's famous for her voice. It's her calling card.

It's just not the best for selling a message. But you could tell her heart was in the right place.
Too bad she thinks that gender is the qualification that should determine our next President.

2. I don't find it sad
she ran a poor campaign and these are the results. It's a good thing it's happening. Hillary is done, barring a political miracle. The best thing that could happen is for Obama to beat her in all four states by 10+ pts.

3. Fat people also support Hillary
Soon, people with bad complexions, bad teeth, limps, bald people, stutterers will be all Hillary has left.

Right?

Seriously. It's just getting really sad now.

6. You wouldn't make a fat person your Secretary of Health.

Why would you want someone with a grating voice as your Spokesperson?

8. Moore made Sicko so why can't Drescher speak validly on behalf of a candidate who inspires her?

9. would you follow Moore's diet regimen? that has nothing to do with his valid work as a filmmaker.
Fran Drescher's final argument for Hillary was purely and simply "Vote for her because she is a Woman"

She was making a direct appeal for gender solidarity.

Is that really a reliable basis for determining a Presidential Nominee?

11. Apparently so according to our fellow party members
We had one major candidate who didn't play the gender or race card and look at where it got him...

No but I wouldn't dismiss Drescher's words either solely because of her voice, although the argument you say she made is very lame.

13. i'm not counting her out solely due to voice, she was pretty thin on facts as well
it's just when you are making a hard sell in the first place, you need all the advantages you can get, like a pleasant speaking voice, for example.

7. That's not even her real voice is it? I thought it was just an act.
She has a much less grating accent in Spinal Tap. I always thought she laid it on thick as her own personal gimmick.
