I've looked over the last 12+ hrs of posts, & there's been a surge of OBAMA-BASHING threads
after there seemed to be a noticeable waning of these things in recent days. Do people think that these threads will diminish after Tuesday if Obama carries Texas and/or Ohio?

(I don't buy the spin that all HRC has to do to carry Rhode Island for the day to be 'unsuccessful' for Barack Obama.

3. The smell of Obama sleaze/lies/race card playing corporate tax reducing , corporate regulation
reducing, with programs for the left that his chief economic adviser tells CNBC Kudlow not to worry about because they won't pass - just campaign promises -

no that smell will not go away after he has the nomination.

but there will be no point to posting truth (called negatives on DU) about Obama after he wins Texas and the nomination - there will just be Obama worship 24/7 with few old Dems signing on to read the site or post.

7. Coordinated Clinton astroturfing tactics.
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 10:54 AM by backscatter712
I'm thinking they do coordinate by email - some Clinton staffer sends out an email to their paid shills with the day's talking points, then the astroturfers all go out simultaneously and shrill the board out.

It only takes a few paid shills, each with maybe a dozen DU accounts, to make it look like there's a giant mob of Clintonites dominating the board.

I can't wait until Mar. 5th - at that point, there will be no way Clinton can win, Obama will be the predictive nominee, and well, the mods will take care of the rest.

Things will actually go back to normal around here.

9. As HRC's campaign swirls down the toilet
the HillaryIs44 astro-turf crowd is lashing out in frustration. At some point, they'll recognize the utter futility of their scorched-earth/poisoning-the-well tactics, and probably drink themselves into a stupor. They, like HRC's advisors, have not served their candidate well, and if they really care about the future makeup of the SCotUS they'll rally behind the eventual nominee. Of course, if the SCotUS arguement was a strawman, and they support HRC b/c she's a woman (which is blatantly sexist), then they'll continue their vengeful ex styled tactics.

10. What's been noticeably absent from this campaign....
has been Hillary supporters saying how good Hillary is.

At first all we heard was she was in it to win, she was inevitable, resistance is futile.

From then on it was bash Obama. Even last summer they were harping on the "not ready yet" theme. naive, inexperienced, maybe come to the head of the bus in a few years....

Ever since a week or so before Iowa, the Hillary Campaign has been on the mud sling of Obama binge. For the most part, it has not been effective.

While it works both ways, and there are anti-Hillary posts too, the Clinton Crowd doesn't have much room to talk with the way their campaign has conducted itself.

Calling Obama supporters cultists I think was the last straw. It was not enough to attack Obama, they were going after Democrats themselves!

14. It's about time that Obama was allowed a little fair criticism after all the smears Hillary got
Anytime someone posts fair criticism about Obama it gets called bashing or an attack, when 99% of it is just criticism of him. OTOH, Hillary can get slandered, lied about, called vicious names, and it's all fine and dandy with everyone.

19. Well, many of the Hillary supporters are long past denial (National poll anyone?)
and have transitioned from the bargaining phase (how about a dream ticket!) to the anger phase (This isn't fair! It's her turn! Fuck Obama!). Some are also at despair (Oh why can't everyone see how great Hillary is. It hurts so much.), and their despair may be confused with anger. This is perfectly natural, and at some point they'll reach acceptance (I could live with a President Obama).
