Where should Obama head next (or for anyone who knows, where?)
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 12:45 PM by adoraz
Today is is Saturday, March 1. He has a big rally in RI today at 12, but I don't see anything else listed under events.

I don't think he has visited Vermont the last couple weeks, but I don't think he should. He should easily win, and even if the advantage is huge there are only 15 or so delegates there so it would only be an advantage of a few. I think its far more important to head to Ohio and Texas since those are so incredibly close, and he needs to win at least 1 to split March 4 with Hillary (which would be great).

The newest polls from Ohio and Texas have them within the margin of error, so it will be extremely close.

He will have maybe some of today, tomorrow, and Monday to visit different states.

So my question is, where should he head next (and does anyone know yet where that would be)?

1. I think only the people inside the campaign know, and they are guessing. He does seem to know where
to go to get the most delegates out of any contest.

I assume he will do Texas first and then try to close the deal in Ohio, but my speculation is unfounded and should not be taken seriously.

2. I think he needs to hit the Rio Grande Valley
Also, El Paso, Midland-Odessa, Del Rio; beef up those Hispanic totals. I think he needs 40% of the Hispanic vote. With that, white and black votes can put him over the top in Texas.

3. Well, about VT
Vermont has a wierd delegate allocation system. If Obama wins by as big a margin as projected, he'll end up with 10+ of the pledged delegates and all of the SDs but 2. He already has three of the SDs. But, I don't think he should bother coming here either. He hasn't been here since the summer and he's going to win in a blowout. I think he should spend tomorrow in OH and Monday in TX.

5. I believe I read where he would be back in TX election nite,
so I imagine he will hit OH after his NE swing on the way back to TX. How long he spends in each place may give us a clue where our strengths/weaknesses are.
Hey, your guess is as good as mine.
