It's Zogby :eyes: and its only one day of survey, but it's still good to hear! :)

"Clinton had a big day Friday in the Zogby call center, leading Obama by double-digits in the Texas survey. She retains a significant lead among Hispanic voters there, a key demographic in the Democratic primary."

10. LOL!
There is one line in that article that reads "Clinton had a big day Friday in the Zogby call center, leading Obama by double-digits in the Texas survey."

That means that in a three day survey, Clinton led among the interviews done on one of the three days! But the chart shows the results for the whole survey--in which Obama is in the lead.

6. Zogby was on Washington Journal this A.M. and said Obama is 2 points ahead in Texas and 1 in Ohio.
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 02:00 PM by AtomicKitten
He also said that Obama's trend toward white men in Ohio is pretty breathtaking and he is now taking them 2.5:1 over Hillary, tending upward.

So, there's that.

People want poll results. No one bets on which horse is ahead when they're still only halfway around the track.

You are harassing this poster quite ignorantly, and you look quite foolish doing so. The OP made it more than clear what was being discusses and that it was just a segment of the overall poll. You are acting like an ignorant child.

46. That's my favorite part: they keep kicking your thread.
Was Friday the most recent of the days? If so, maybe the trend hasn't yet been picked up (movement towards Hillary).

We will see - sounds like Texas has changed things up a bit since I lived there with this mixed up primary/caucus thing. Had to be the Repubs who worked that one out.

47. Yep. Friday was the most recent day. Will be interesting to see if it
continues.

I lived in Bear Creek for a while (Houston suburb) - but it wasn't long enough to hit an election cycle. I had no idea there was a mixed caucus/primary. Screwey.

11. As I said last night, don't trust one-day averages.
They are extremely unreliable. Remember, the Tuesday of Wisconsin's primary, Clinton was said to be surging nationally, actually taking the lead over Obama in the Gallup survey and then by Thursday, she was back down again.

On that Tuesday, Clinton was up 45-44, two days later, she was down 47-45.

Daily numbers typically fluctuate and it's best to look at the overall trend and not the daily number. If Obama continues to lose support the next two tracking polls, then it could signal there is a big shift in Clinton's direction. However, at this moment, there is nothing to prove it isn't more than just an anomaly.

And the same goes for Obama surging in Ohio, too.

12. this had a very small sampling (just 1/3 days), and also considering it was Friday night
I would really like to see the cross tabs, because there is a big possibility that there was a lopsided telephone polling of seniors. most younger people wouldn't be home Friday nights while most seniors would. I would like to see if that was weighted at all.
