And you would help that happen because your ego would not allow you to 'cross that line' .....

I am sure you will find a nearly unanimous disagreement here ...

But hey: It is a free country ... Vote whom you wish .... Just dont expect a lot of love here

20. No, I'm really not.
Seriously.

I'm seriously considering voting for Obama over Hillary if the primary is still going in May when it reaches my state.

My teenage kids and my 70-something mom are wholly in support of Obama. He has motivated them and millions of others in the United States in a way I haven't seen since 1980. That time it was appalling. Reagan - shiver.

This time - it's kind of good, actually. In fact, real good.

27. Why am I considering switching my primary support to Obama?
Thank you for asking.

One, I see people of all ages and points of view supporting him. He has some kind of charisma that excites people. That's good, because he's a Democrat, and I'm a Democrat. To see a fellow Democrat exciting and motivating people - that's wonderful.

Two, I've never been a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton. I prefered Kucinich, then Biden, then Edwards. I don't see a big difference between the policies of Clinton and Obama. They're both moderates. I'm a radical. What am I gonna do? I have to vote for one or the other.

Three, the reason I leaned toward Hillary was that Obama made me very angry with the McClurkin incident. He hasn't made that mistake again. I've forgiven Obama for McClurkin. Obama has a strong statement on his website in support of gay rights. That's good.

I'm a lesbian pagan socialist environmentalist, and both Obama and Clinton are much too conservative for my tastes.

Nonetheless, they are both far far better than any Republican. Obama seems to have this - thing - going with a lot of the country. Who am I to stand in the way of a Democrat motivating the country?

40. Great Decision Yardwork! History as a way of balancing things out
although sometimes it takes much too long for those doing the suffering as we wait.
I believe as you have stated that this is an historic moment in our history, because in Obama, we have finally found who we were waiting for; it is us, and he can be the voice that we have not been able to make loud enough for the last 7 years, and then some.

Obama understands fully that he will be responsible and accountable to us, because he recognizes that it is us that has put him on this path, and not anything or anyone else. I believe that he will be true to his word, as he is "real".

I just finished reading his interview in March '08 Ebony Magazine issue.

What I noticed is that he talks in "WE" and "I" in a very markable pattern. What is he accountable for he speaks of in "I", while when speaking of the positives of his campaign, he appears to use "WE".

Here's a sampling so that you can see what I mean:
"Of course. Absolutely, there are things that you look back at and say I could have done this differently, I could have done that differently. But the truth is, when you think about what we've been able to accomplish--I didn't decide to run until January, and over the course of the last nine months starting from scratch, starting from zero, we've competed with the dominant force in the Democratic party for the last 20 years. And we've played them close to a draw when it comes to money, when it comes to organization. So we feel good about what we've accomplished. "

This interview with Barack was conducted before the Iowa caucuses.

It's the Obama supporters who feel compelled to pile on Hillary with nasty sexist attacks who might need to be reeled in a bit.

I probably would have decided to support Obama weeks ago if it hadn't been for a number of his "supporters" on this board. They are not exactly spreading hope and unity.

60. Interesting perspective; I've seen both sides being about the same,
up until I started being enthusiastic about Obama;

then I didn't notice the negativity from Obama supporters as much
as I did the anti-Obama rhetoric from Hillary supporters (which has
been pretty nasty from a few people. Not from all!)

So, mea culpa.. but in my defense, I have seen posts calling Obama the
antichrist, which is a bit over the top.
