Cutting down on polls: Toward an America with fewer polls
Polls hurt democracy. They do not advance democracy. We need a comprehensive plan to cut down on all of these polls that are endlessly pimped by the news organizations. They are doing great damage to the nation. The notion that the "pulse" of the nation can be discerned by a phone sample of less than 1000 people (when half of the people called hang up anyway) in a nation of 150 million voters is preposterous.
