Remember this moment between Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton?
Anybody who says that this man is not ready for the GOP nor is ready for Sen. McCain, remember how he deftly took what looked like a slam dunk by Hillary Clinton and slammed her rear to the court?

This man is just too fast for them!

1. It's the difference between someone who is sincere and confident
and someone who is phony and insecure.

3. Obama is a brilliant politician
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 03:15 AM by ExFreeper4Obama
Smooth and confident as hell. Never gets rattled and is even-keeled. When he makes statements off the top of his head they come out PERFECTLY. This is exactly why he's winning.

4. Hillary does more damage to herself when she speaks up
with one of those quick one line "put downs" that she is so fond of.

Obama was fumbling for an answer... Hillary interjects herself into the conversation with a snarky remark, but doesn't realize that she has just teed up one for him. He slams it out of the park.

5. I'd forgotten about that. She asked for it and he gave it to her. Hee.

Ooh, I just watched it again and after she cackles and snarks, "I wanna hear that!" he gives a big smile and says, chuckling, "Ah yeah?" Watch it again if you missed it--it's fantastic.

7. Wow, talk about stealing the thunder.
He fucking nailed her on that one. She got a few chuckles with her incredulous, mocking laughter and "I can't wait to hear this" comment but he got the big laugh off the cuff. Nicely done.

10. I remember that. I thought her laughing at him was so tacky
I don't think anybody of the other candidates laughed at her like that when she was answering

13. In hindsight, Hillary should have tried to get more states to flout DNC rules
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 08:33 AM by stahbrett
If she could have gotten more primaries to follow in the footsteps of MI and FL, the primary season would have been more compressed, leaving less time for campaigning, which has been her biggest advantage in most states - the more voters hear from her and Obama, the more voters flock to Obama. (The DNC wouldn't have been able to punish all states that flouted their rules - they'd need to have a decent number count somehow.)

14. .
Obama surely knows to make the best out of these kind of situations. I wished I was so quick. Hillary didn't seem to be amused ;).
I also like the way Biden and Richardson reacted.

And this is off-topic but now that I mentioned these two, while I'm very confident that Obama or Clinton will be capable Presidents that the US can be proud of, from the perspective of choosing the "leader from the free world", I can't help but notice that there were indeed other very good choices.

15. Look at it this way
Sen. Obama has come from out of nowhere to actually mount a challenge to one of the US's most powerful political machines in the figure of Sen. Clinton. He has grown into the role of candidate and has only gotten better as the pressure has been ratcheted up. I am confident that, should he be elected, he will grow as a statesman and President.
