ABC: Private Worries as Team Clinton Looks for Best Case Scenarios
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 09:28 AM by catgirl
-snip-

But privately, Clinton campaign advisors say their own internal polls show the race tightening in Ohio and remaining very close in Texas.

"We're going to go full bore and see what happens," a senior advisor told ABC News, Sunday.

Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., is outspending Clinton on the airwaves by about two to one. And in some markets, Clinton aides say they believe he has spent closer to three times as much on advertising.

"I've never seen the likes of this," said the advisor.

In their best case scenario, Clinton aides hope she could win Ohio by 3 to 6 points and squeak out a victory in Texas. They would consider that a good night and reason to fight on to Pennsylvania, which holds its primary on April 22.

Other scenarios, they admit, are not so pretty.

4. I think even they'd admit they'll be buried in VT
But TX and OH will probably be close.

9. I believe Bill Clinton said she needs to win in both TX and OH to go on
of course that was before Obama took the polling lead in TX, now she doesn't need to win it.

8. if they only win by that much, at BEST they split the delgates
and more likely she comes away with fewer, based on how the districts are divided.

10. No kidding!
A "win" of 3 points in Ohio will doom the Clinton campaign!

Don't they do math over there?

7. Bill Richardson....
is saying whoever has the most delegates after Tuesday should be the nom. Unless Hillary trounces Obama with 20 point wins we know that she ain't going to be the one.

Look for a Richardson endorsement of Obama on the 5th of March!

12. I thought the same when I heard his statement. He's only holding off on endorsing Obama b/c...
HRC asked him to wait until after March 4th. I think he's holding off out of loyalty to the Clinton's, but that he'll support Obama after Tuesday.

And anyone waiting this long to endorse someone, is being as disingenuous as can be. The time for meaningful endorsements has long passed, in my opinion.
