1. Why?
Way back right after the Wisconsin primary, there were reports of an internal struggle in the Hillary campaign between the "extreme mudslinging" and the "Hillary is a real person that cries" factions. I predicted then that the mudslinging side would win... and they have. Remains to be seen if the voters buy it. But they have every time Rove slinged it at Gore and Kerry, I'm guessing it will work here too.

The difference is that this is a primary race, not a "winner takes all" race. So it's not clear that the mud slinging will create the needed margins of victory for Hillary so she can overtake Obama's delegate lead. But it allows her to continue.

On the other hand, if Obama finally emerges from this as the nominee, the damage will have been done.

Thanks, Hillary... for four more years of Bush-lite rule.

2. Why so jittery today? I don't get it.
Did something major happen to stop Obama's momentum?

I sure haven't seen it.

6. I'm sorry, fellow Californian -- there's no coming back from this
Believing otherwise is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

My candidate was (and is still, in my heart) John Edwards, but Obama is the future. He's the nominee. If it were
Hillary Clinton, I'd be behind her now. The enemy is John McCain -- or should be.

10. Hillary is and always has been a mean spirited person, like Bush is.
She doesn't have much to offer, so tearing down others is all she's got.

11. What is this about, really?
Where's the mud? It seems to be a product of the supporters of Obama who simply can not deal with the stress of a real election.

And this one has been a slap-fight.
