Wesley Clark "Women Can Fight"
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 05:22 PM by Dinger
http://securingamerica.com/node/2874

"Clark explained Clinton’s vote authorizing President Bush to take action in Iraq as “a vote for coercive diplomacy” rather than “a vote for war,” and said the Bush administration “misused” the authority granted to it by Congress.

Clark also told reporters that Clinton was more qualified than Sen. John McCain to be the next commander-in chief because McCain’s service as a naval fighter pilot did not prepare him “in terms of dealing with the national strategic issues that are involved” in being president. Clinton, in Clark’s estimation, has had the necessary experience to make high-level national security decisions because of her tenure in the U.S. Senate and her time as First Lady.

Clark and 15 other retired U.S. military flag officers, generals and admirals, used the call to explain why they are endorsing Clinton to be the nation’s next commander-in-chief."

6. I admire Clark for praising and supporting Hillary's positions
and actions, rather than taking jabs at Obama like Joe Wilson is doing.

I hope Clark has a slot in the next administration.

7. More interesting stuff on the IWR vote of October 2002 in relation to reading the NIE:
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 05:31 PM by Maribelle
Six senators read the NIE

1. Biden
2. Rockefeller
3. Roberts

==>> Each of the above three voted yes on the Iraq War Resolution.

==>> The remaining three voted no

4. Durbin
5. Graham
6. Levin

==>> The 3 who voted no were all on the Senate Intelligence Committee who (Durbin admits) had access to confidential intelligence information not contained in the NIE.

==>> Each of the presidential candidates who were in the senate at the time voted yes on the IRW: Clinton, Edwards, Biden and Dodd, and each of them voted no on the Levin Amendment.

==>> Four Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee voted yes on the Iraq War Resolution:

Evan Bayh
John Edwards
Dianne Feinstein
John D. Rockefeller

And according to Dick Durbin, those who were on the Senate Intelligence Committee knew the intelligence wasn’t matching up to what the Bush administration was telling the public.

Plus take care of the economy and education.

35. Clinton's Handful of Years on The Foreign Relations Committee Vs. McCain?
McCain was appearing on Meet The Press when Clinton was back in her Goldwater sweater.

When it comes to experience, Clinton simply can't cut it. She has to beat him on judgement, and she was on the same page as McCain over th Iraq war.

We need someone who can point out that experience is a means to wisdom, but it doesn't MEAN wisdom. We need someone who was right on Iraq from day one.
