Limbaugh urges listeners to vote for Clinton
As Hillary Clinton battles to keep her presidential bid alive, she may be getting help from an unlikely source: conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh has been actively urging his Texas listeners to cross over and vote for Clinton in that state's open primary Tuesday, arguing it helps the Republicans if the Democratic race remains unsettled for weeks to come.

"I want Hillary to stay in this…this is too good a soap opera," Limbaugh told fellow conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham on Fox News Friday. He reiterated the comments on his Monday show and replayed the exchange with Ingram

"We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically. It's obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it, they don't have the stomach for it," Limbaugh continued. "As you probably know we're getting all kinds of memos from the RNC saying we're not going to be critical. Mark McKinnon of McCain's campaign said he'll quit if they get critical over Obama. This is the presidency of the United States we're talking about. I want our party to win I want the Democrats to lose.”

To me, this is just a sign of how desperate the republicans are getting. They know that they have little to no chance against either candidate. Just all the more reason to come together strong as soon as the nomination is settled.

2. They have no chance against Obama...
Hillary, traitor to the Democratic party, IS the one they want to run against.

10. They will win against Obama.
They'll also win against Hillary. The Democratic Party has once again shot itself in the foot.

12. By narrowing the field to Semicrats.
Obama and Clinton are both Republican-lite. Neither will do much of anything different from Bush.

13. You think that will make McCain win?
I understand your criticism of the candidates, but I doubt that they have less of a chance in the general election that a more left leaning candidate would.

15. Yup.
McCain will out-Republican them...and out-patriot them...and out-hardass them. I used to think that there was an upside to Obama, that he wouldn't produce negative coattails. I no longer think that. I think either of them imperils Democratic Congressional majorities due to the rancor between them. The winner won't necessarily be able to count on the support of the loser's backers.

It's an ugly situation and I may be wrong, but that's what I believe at this point.

3. He has been saying this for weeks both O and H are running ads during his show
in Texas and Ohio

He wants the dems to tear each other apart.

All the racist, sexist, religious charges are, for the most part, coming from dems.

Hillary will not drop out, not now, I doubt ever. When was the last time a Clinton walked away from power?

5. He wanted McCain to lose too.
He actively and vehemently campaigned against McCain. I heard Rusth protesting that he's still relevant after McCain won Super Tuesday. When somebody has to say they're relevant, probably they are not being truthful.
I don't worry much what he's saying these days.

19% have not figured out that Rush has the language of double-speak mastered.

14. Of course he wants Hillary to win the primary
He wants her to be elected president because he knows nobody will be able to erase the stench of bush in a single term. He can then spend four years trashing her day in and day out just like he did for the entire 8 years of the clinton terms when he was raking in money like it was leaves. He longs for a return to the glory days of the 90's when he can get rich trashing the Clinton administration all over again.

People, these right wing blowholes do not have any political principles. They get rich selling fear to the hicks. They can sell a lot more of it and get a lot richer with Hillary in the WH.

16. Nothing in the media about the dishonesty or treachery of it
I can imagine what they'd say if the Democratic race was settled first and Dems overran the GOP primaries.
