Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 09:12 PM by blm
Media just called it so wrong for so long the last few years they want to sound as IF they have a grip on the way the primaries turned out.

21. And how do you think all those Indies will vote in the GE?
They might just leave Obama high and dry while they pull the McCain lever.

26. Those Indies will be voting in Nov. no matter what - and are more likely to vote Obama
than Hillary who turns off Independent voters. You want McCain to get ALL Independents? If he does, he wins the election - period.

24. actually, exit polls don't include any of the Caucus States
and Obama has one nearly all of them.

I guess those folks don't count in your methodology.

6. You would think from DU and the media that VOTING is ruining the country.
For Cripes sakes! Of COURSE she has a chance. Their delegate totals are actually very, very close and momentum appears to be shifting.

Let the PEOPLE VOTE.

Maybe the new bumper sticker should be "It's a DEMOCRACY, stupid!"

14. Momentum is shifting?
Hillary may have stopped the bleeding, but she has all but completely lost her nearly 20 point leads in TX and OH of only two weeks ago.

8. Compare this to how the media treated John Edwards 4 years ago
At about this point in time, in the 2004 contest for the Democratic nomination for President, four Democratic Candidates remained in the race; John Kerry, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, and Al Sharpton. With March 2 2004 Super Tuesday approaching, John Kerry had already won 18 out of the 21 contests already held, having lost only in the District of Columbia, South Carolina, and Oklahoma. Senator Kerry was on a bit of a roll at this point, having won the previous 11 contests. All 11 of those victories were by margins of 15% or above, with the sole exception of Wisconsin, where Kerry won by a 6% margin. Over half of Kerry's victories during this run (6) were by margins of over 20%.

On February 28th 2004, none of John Kerry's remaining Democratic opponents had won more than a single primary or caucus in the entire 2004 race, compared to Kerry's 18 total victories by that date. Still, no Democratic Candidate was being pressured to leave the race by forces external to his own campaign, and Senator John Edwards in particular continued to maintain hope of winning the Democratic nomination for President. The media continued to regard Senator Edwards as a serious contender to win the Democratic nomination.

Senator Edwards finally withdrew from the 2004 race for President after the results of March 2 2004, which showed him losing to John Kerry in all ten of the contests held that day. John Kerry won nine of those, and Howard Dean (who had already left the race by that date) won his home state of Vermont.

27. Dan is AWESOME!
The media is trying their damnedest to frame OUR primary.Well sorry!Hillary has the votes, the money and the enthusiasm of half the country behind her,she ain't goin' no where.

Simple fact is is that Neither one will have the magic number needed to win the nom.

Quit acting as though Obama doesn't have to earn this nomination,as if we should hand it to him because he and his supporters want it.WE want it just as badly and like the fierce Democrat that Hillary is WE are not about to step aside and lay down for Obama.

Hillary will fight for this nom as much as she would fight for ALL of US once elected.

Let the Democratic Process play out as it should.

28. Well said, let this thing play out. She's not only viable but she's in striking distance.
The more either candidate is exposed to the stronger they will be in November.
