Aw Fuuuck... I Guess I'll Go And Answer It, "What Would Be Wrong If Hillary WAS Gay ??? ... NOTHING
but let me honestly ask this, as we fight for the first women and\or black to be President of the United States. A thing that in over 200 years into this American experiment is even now fairly revolutionary...

When do you all think the first OPENLY gay man or woman will be running for POTUS???

I hate all this turn-taking, I prefer enlightenment and wisdom myself, but hell man, even the most ardent GLBT supporters have to recognize that it won't be for at least the next few election cycles.

Hell... I'd vote for Barney Frank (as an example) for POTUS in a heartbeat, but he ain't running, and I don't expect him to do so anytime soon.

I do expect this though... if Obama gets the nomination, in great part because of young people, who do NOT see the world the same way as their elders do regarding gays, that that turn might just come a lot quicker with him than with somebody who tends to pit one group against another.

Just sayin...

1. I just turned 40 and won't live to see it
not even close. We have literally no one in the pipeline in the forseeable future. No real chance for a gay governor or US Senator even for quite some time.

5. I think we will see the day ~ absolutely and soon too

I like Frank.
I'd vote for him easily.

I want to have faith that when Grandpa McPain and his "My Friends" leave the scene we will usher in a generation of caring, kind voters.

I can't wait!

Out with the OLD and in with the NEW!

8. Frank will never run
He can't even be Speaker let alone run for President, sadly Gobie did him in for that.

6. I literally don't see how
We have 2 gay US reps and they are from states with solid, longserving Dem Senators. We have no candidates with any likelyhood of success at the gov or Senate level and not even any statewide elected officials that are on the map. Barring a political phenom or a person coming out post election, I don't see it.

10. I kinda wish she was.
(I don't like Bill) Hell.. if she came out and said she was, I think I'd switch and vote for her out of pride. I'm not Gay, and honestly know very little about GLBT issues (besides they are treated terribly) but after everything Bill has put her through, I'd stand up and clap.. not out of spite for Bill, but out of her making a stand.
