Moderator: Why? What in your religous caused you to be against gay marriage?

Obama: "What I believe, in my faith, is that a man and a woman when they get married are performing something before God and its not simply the two persons who are meeting..."

4. yes, but isn't Senator Obama for genuine change?
It seems like Civil Unions are the status quo. Heck even Bush supports Civil Unions. I think Senator Obama was for genuine change...

8. Bush does not support civil unions.
I'm all for gay marriage. Fortunately, I'm not running for President, because being for gay marriage is one of a handful of issues that is the difference between being in a position to win and being Dennis Kucinich. I don't like it either, and I'd like to change it, but for whatever reason, that's the way Obama has chosen to play it, and who knows, maybe he actually believes it. It doesn't change the fact that he is by far the best candidate running.

10. That doesn't say he supports civil unions.
It says he doesn't think states should be overruled if that's their law. Big difference.
