A plea that will probably fall on deaf ears
Now, look, I'm no fan of Hillary Clinton, and after her campaign's disgraceful behavior since Super Tuesday, I hope she crashes and burns in the primaries today. But if Obama does emerge as the presumptive nominee after tonight, can we forget her and move on? After all the vitriol from the Hillhounds these last few months - from the early days of "She's inevitable, kneel before her" to the more recent phase of "Why do you hate women?" posts, to the last, desperate cries of "Waaah, the nasty man is trying to take away the throne from the Rightful Queen, it's not FAIR!" - the last thing I want to read is another 3 months of Clinton-bashing threads. If the results go as hoped for, she'll be history, we need to concentrate our fire on the real enemy:

"Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran"

Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 09:36 AM by flyarm
and what makes you think all the little repig kids haven't come over to caucus in the open primaries ..for just that reason??????????/

yes ..they have...

how do i know that..i worked for Edwards at a large caucus....as a co-captain..and i saw the shit with my own eyes...

and i was also on the ground working for Edwards in SC.,.if you think all these kids coming out for obama are just there to support him..i have a bridge for you...

they are there ..many..in open states to get the repigs the easiest candidate to beat..and Obama is their man!

His presser yesterday should have been an eye opener for each and every real dem!

he can't and won't stand up to the repigs...

and if the repigs could do what they did to Max Cleland and John Kerry..wtf is an Obama to them??????????

hell CNN all last night was chewing him a new asshole...and calling him a liar...which by the way is what he is...they were in nice words..calling him an empty suit..

and ya know what Obamaites..you would have had us life long dems to help you thorugh it..but now..after you have called us every name in the book..you have lied , you have been nasty ..you have race baited and you have smeared us in the most sexist ways..you have done your damnest to split the party i used to love..because right now..my love is in my pocket..i do not like the so called "change " you have brought ..because that "change" is immature, ignorant, nasty, downright rude, repugnant, sexist, racist, lying, cheating...and if you think i will allow that type of "d" behind my name with the likes of what you have brought to my party..you have a rude awakening.

I gave big bucks to Kerry in 2004..big big bucks..i won't give a damn dime to Obama.

I worked my ass off for Kerry in 2004..i was out doing speaking engagements almost every night ..i won't do a damn thing for Obama

I housed his field rep and others ..for 7 months..i won't do a damn thing for Obama

I fed the out of town Field staff for over 2 months at a cost of appro $200. bucks a day in 2004..i won't walk into a field office this time.

I worked all the candidate Rallys..we had 15..in my area..i was in charge of getting the volunteers ..and clearing them with Secret service..and worked with many times less than 10 hours notice...

like i said..i won't do jack shit this time.

I hope you have the people to take over when the teennies go back to school...in Sept...because that is when things really crank up...and you need the grown ups!!..

most of the people i know who are the workers,..in my area..have all said they won't do jack shit for Obama...

so good luck!!

fly

5. I'm not an Obama person
I was a Kucinich person, then when he dropped out, I supported Edwards. I now regard Obama as the lesser of the two remaining evils. I just don't want to read weeks of "naah naah, we won, up yours Hillary" threads if the primaries go Obama's way today. Quite the opposite of flamebait, I'd say.

9. You have made some good points here, but I doubt that they
will listen or even consider what you are saying. They have their fingers in their ears and their eyes closed.

13. Nastier people than you Obama people?
Here's a quote from a Hillary supporter last night that made me sick.

Whats the matter Fuckface, does the shoe fit ya?

'I am a Democrat, I have always been a Democrat, and Hillary Clinton disgusts me.'

No you're not. You're a disgusting POS puke and a deuchebag to boot. Now run along...

It's definitely not just "Obama people" who are posting crap.

I usually stay away form the obvious flamebait, but, just in the last week I have been called a liar, and a Bushbot for nothing more than trying to discuss policy and tactics. I felt these attacks on me were unwarranted. And I feel the crap posted in the example I quoted above was certainly uncalled for. All the previous poster did was deny that he/she was a Repub.

flyarm, maybe you can't see that it is coming from both sides, because you are too biased to take a step back. It is.

You call this nasty flamebait and ignore the other nasty flambait posts from HRC supporters? Is it only okay when your team does it?

I am disappointed in many longtime DUers -- many of whom I respected for their insight and wisdom on this board and for the quality of their posts. Disappointed because they are being so biased with these kinds of accusations, when, in fact, the shit is flying in from both directions.

12. Yes, you're right, I'm sorry
I tried to edit the post to replace the offending word with "a minority of Clinton supporters", but my editing period had expired.
