Do Hillary Supporters Want The Rezko Case To Simply End Obama's Campaign Or To Put Him Behind Bars?
I've noticed that a lot of the more fanatical Hillary supporters on this board get really excited when they find an article about the Rezko/Obama situation. So I was curious what they hope comes of this whole thing? Do they simply hope that he'll have to suspend his campaign or are they hoping that it eventually lands him in prison? The thing is, I kinda figure the only way it ends up being bad enough to make him drop his campaign would be becasue it's so bad that it lands him in the pen.

So, if you're rooting for Rezko to bring him down, aren't you also rooting for him to go to federal prison? If that's where you stand I guess you're free to feel that way, but when considering that he's a fmaily man with two of the cutest kids I've ever seen I'm hoping that this Rezko thing doesn't turn into something life altering for him. I mean there's politics and then there's real life, if Hillary wins the nominaiton that perfectly fine, but hopefully we aren't rooting to put the guy behind bars for next 5-10 years. That's a little much, even for the biggest Hillary fans.

2. The judge worked for Ken Starr on Whitewater and has been on the fast track since
Some of us think this trial may cause trouble for our party. Not everything is about Clinton vs Obama.

15. What *she* said
:tinfoilhat:

(It's Tinfoil Time in Penn's Woods.)

This isn't a Frasier-v-Ali matter; it may not even be partisan, but rather a wheeler-and-dealer takedown, politicians be damned.

I don't see much serious blame for Obama in what came out -- he was cut a sweet deal. I wish I could get a few, but good for him. But more and more it looks like the tip of somebody else's iceberg.

What I worry about is that this may be the equivalent of a nuclear bomb for the Democratic Party, lovingly tended by the GOP for several years until an opportune moment came along. And too much of it this month seems to be directed toward making Obama look like a liar over petty issues, but they are pitfalls Obama has a habit of walking right into. A little TOO custom-made.

The anti-Hillary crowd will, naturally, see her fingerprints all over this, but notice she backed off muy pronto after a single verbal ejaculation in one of the earlier debates. Yet any other politician would be all over Obama for this.

Based on the telepathic waves being sent out from Area 51 by my Corporate Masters, I think that the plan is to use Obamamania to destroy Hillary, then use Rezko to destroy Obama -- and both are aware of it. The trial is moving just a little too fast, and it will have to be postponed again, but now we have the Canadian Tories acting very interestingly. There is also a Hussein financier who has been trotted out at Just The Right Time.

So I don't think this is about Obama and Hillary at all. It may indeed be an attempt to destroy them both.

18. The judge offering the delay really fits with the take Hillary out first scenario
Had the trial started last week, it would have hit the news cycles hard before todays vote.

My tin foil hat feels warm to the touch, so i'm betting we're right about this. Doesnt mean they'll get away with anything...but they're gonna try.

3. The Clintonistas are grasping at straws.
They're desperate for absolutely anything that might knock Obama down a few pegs.

They've still yet to produce one ounce of hard evidence that indicates Obama committed a crime.

5. As an Obama supporter, I must say that if it turns out Obama is utterly corrupt...
I hope he DOES go to jail!

Having a couple of cute kids isn't an excuse to stay out of prison -- unless you're Scooter Libby, of course. :eyes:

That said, I think the whole Rezko thing is a tempest in a teapot, just as Whitewater was, and the only reason it gets brought up is to gain an advantage in the campaign. I can't say I blame Hillary for that -- this is a freakin' political campaign, for God's sake. It's not for the faint of heart.

8. Cute kids certainly shouldn't keep you out of jail, but it's atleast reason to not root for it.

7. I have no desires or wishes regarding Obama's guilt, innocence or
involvement with Rezko. Let the cards fall as they may...I want the truth, the facts as presented by Fitzgerald. No more, no less.

12. If there are skeletons, they need to come out now, not later
And I will say the same about Hillary--if there's some dirt that hasn't been exposed, we'd better hear about it now. Once we have a nominee, do we really want to get sandbagged by the Republicans?

19. what I want to know is how serious these allegations are
and if they will derail Obama's candidacy if he wins the nomination.

PS - I'm saying that as a Democrat, not a "Hillary supporter".

PSS - you should be, too - IMHO.
