Limbaugh urges listeners to vote for Clinton
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/03/04/limbaugh-urges-listeners-to-vote-for-clinton/

(CNN) – As Hillary Clinton battles to keep her presidential bid alive, she may be getting help from an unlikely source: conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh has been actively urging his Texas listeners to cross over and vote for Clinton in that state's open primary Tuesday, arguing it helps the Republicans if the Democratic race remains unsettled for weeks to come.

"I want Hillary to stay in this…this is too good a soap opera," Limbaugh told fellow conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham on Fox News Friday. He reiterated the comments on his Monday show and replayed the exchange with Ingram.

He also said Clinton is more willing than the Republican National Committee and John McCain's campaign to criticize Barack Obama.

"We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically. It's obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it, they don't have the stomach for it," Limbaugh continued. "As you probably know we're getting all kinds of memos from the RNC saying we're not going to be critical. Mark McKinnon of McCain's campaign said he'll quit if they get critical over Obama. This is the presidency of the United States we're talking about. I want our party to win I want the Democrats to lose.”

1. That will help with superdelegates- if Limbaugh wants this to continue
they will want to shut this down and shut him up.

2. That's kinda funny
Republicans I know in Cincinnati (aka SuperWingnutCentralTown) would rather stay home than become a Registered Democrat, even for a day.

He might get a few hundred of his wingnutties sycophants to pull a "Dem for a Day" vote today, but it really will be statistically insignificant.

Plus, all those wingnuts are going to get bombarded with mailings from Dem candidates come November, so it would serve them right. :-)

Wealthy Elites free to put their vast money into their ideology feed-back loop -- Rush.

Limbaugh's is an asinine attempt to appear to control voters and culture fear of him as some potent genius. What a joke! Of course he will have a storyline regardless the outcome in Texas.

5. A Clinton victory in Tex would be tainted by Conservative Independents
This is the worst case scenario....

If Hillary truly wanted the best for the country she would do the right thing.

But we all know she and Bill would rather fight this to the death (read convention) than allow our country to grow and take a new course for history.

So depressing....

6. ROFL... Hillary-Voting DittoHeads Getting Big Surpise In Texas
Oh GAWD this is hilarious!!!! The stupid, it BURNS! IT BURNS!!!

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/

On the local conservative radio stations, many Republicans are calling and complaining about feeling “disenfranchised”.

Apparently, they didn’t realize that by implementing Rush Limbaugh’s strategy of voting for Hillary in the Primaries to prolong the Democrats fist-fight, they would not be allowed to vote for any of the Republicans on the rest of the ballot.

9. This is true
There are other issues and nominations on the Republican ballots. There is a saying that all politics is local. I suspect that the Republicans will sdtick with the Republican ballot if there are Republican judges and congressional nominees on their ballot.

Even if some do cross over I suspect it will be split between the Republicans who want Obama to be the nominee and Republicans who want Clinton to be the nominee. It will pretty much be a wash IMHO.

10. And he is not the only one. I heard Laura Ingraham advocating the
same thing this morning on her show. Several callers were calling in and arguing with her about it. It was amusing that their troops weren't lining up as they expected.
