My wife and I just voted in South Austin

The parking lot at our polling place was overflowing but it went fast. We were in and out in 10 minutes. About 12 people voted Democrat and 2 voted Republican by my count in that time. When the Republican worker asked if I was voting Republican, my reply was "Oh God, NO!". Everybody within earshot except him laughed. We then had to go by the pharmacy and pick up my wife's insulin and passed 3 other polling places on the way there and back home-all of them had full parking areas.

3. Our precinct is fairly liberal

Mostly lower middle class, probably about 40% white, 40% Hispanic, the rest black and some Asian. We went 64% for Kerry in 2004
