a great many people who do not follow politics real close believe that Hillary got to where she is due to Bill and her support of his cheating as a means to an end.

You may not like to hear it but she is disliked by a lot of average Joe's and Jane's.

In the general she will need to deal with this perception, it is not going to go away by it's self, and she does manage to win (by a slim margin would be my guess) she will very little wiggle room to govern effectively because of residual distaste and distrust of her.
