Will Texas and Ohio give Democrats a nominee or just a bigger headache?
All eyes on Tuesday's contest which could decide Obama-Clinton nomination fight

Many Democratic voters told News2 they are wary about a prolonged battle for the party's nomination. "I think it's time we get beyond this popularity contest, which is all about personality, and start looking more at the real differences, which are between the Republicans and the Democrats," said Tiffany Muhs.

Envisioning a brokered convention scenario, with candidates fighting for super delegates and filing lawsuits in various states with unique and controversial election rules, Marilyn Wells said "a lot of people will be upset, if that happens."

Sirota agrees. But, barring such divisive party in-fighting, he says a prolonged nomination battle could actually help the Democrats in November's general election.

"First and foremost, I think the Democratic Party wants a nominee that the public considers legitimate," he said. "But, the longer this goes on, the longer the Democrats are on the front page and the Republicans are not.{/i]

"The hope is that this is done without lawsuits and back room deals and that it brings more Democratic voters into the fold," Sirota said. "The fear is that it rips the party apart."
