Obama campaign REBUKED by Ohio's SOS Office.. (for cheating)
"Ohio Secretary Of State's Office Rebukes Obama Campaign"

04 Mar 2008 01:24 pm

Ohio's Secretary of State, an office held by a Democrat, has rebuked Sen. Barack Obama's campaign for trying to staff precincts with poll workers who presented insufficient credentials.

Obama's campaign calls this charge "wrong."

In a memo sent late this morning to county election directors by David M. Farrell, Ohio's Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, a letter carried by Obama supporters -- signed by Obama state director Paul Tewes -- is deemed "not legally sufficient on its own to allow someone to gain access to polling places."

Farrell notes that state law requires that polling observers must be "duly appointed" and have been previously issued a certificate.

The letter from Tewes states the bearer 'is hereby authorized to serve as a legal poll monitor on behalf of the Obama campaign."

The alleged infraction seems minor, but the Clinton campaign has seized on the e-mail from the Secretary of State's office as evidence that the Obama campaign is trying to game the system in Ohio.

Lynn Utrecht, chief campaign counsel for Sen. Hillary Clinton, said that she'd recieved reports from the field of Obama poll workers being kicked out of precincts for aggressively challenging voters. Adding it up, she said, "and it's a pattern."

And Tina Flournoy, a Clinton campaign adviser, compared the conduct to that of Republicans in the 2004 election.

"It’s a pretty sad thing that people we now have to worry about are fellow Democrats," she said.

"The Secretary of state is wrong on the facts," said Obama spokesperson Dan Pfeiffer. "We are correctly credentialed and are calling now to correct any misunderstanding tot he contrary."

Here's the Tewes letter.

Read more here how Obama will do anything to WIN... even, "cheat"!

35. Latest UPdate with (some exit polling ) results:
http://www.taylormarsh.com/images2/hillaryclinton_wideweb__470x308,02.jpg

Just got back into the stream of what's going on again, calls and all coming in. C-SPAN was fun, another one coming up at the top of the hour.

Hilarious side note. I'd turned off the phones in my radio studio, but one evidently was partially plugged in, which I didn't notice. In the middle of the interview I got a call and all of a sudden I could hear my big brother on the line talking exit polls. How fitting. It was all I could do to keep concentration. Then he started giving details, so I had to break away for a second to stop the call. Hilarious. Just goes to show you no matter how much prep there is, something always pops up.

Exit polls look good in Ohio for Clinton, where she looks like to have won back her base.

As for Texas, small lead in exit polls at the start for Clinton, with polls closing in that state and Rhode Island at the top of the hour.

UPDATE: Just finished part of a call from the Clinton campaign; while waiting for the second round of C-SPAN interviews. The Clinton campaign said sign in sheets were indeed being filled out during the day by Obama team and supporters, according to Clinton's counsel. The Texas Dem party hotlines are jammed with people calling in. Clinton camp has heard of complaints all day. "All over the state" complaints. "Obama campaign took the precinct captain's packet," and they don't know what was done with it. Clinton camp has precinct numbers. "Numerous locations" where Obama supporters have "locked out" Clinton supporters. "We have lawyers all over the state." ... Wolfson: This is the first time we've held a call of this nature. Chaotic is normal. What's happening in Texas tonight "is not typical." "Is quite extraordinary." They then took questions, but I had to get off to get ready for other calls/interviews.

Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 08:06 PM by Tellurian
All the Clinton campaign did was ask for clarification and specificity!

You people are not aware of how Wars are Won. First off, you need to know the Rules of Engagement!

If your not sure of the wording, you ask for clarification. Are you Obama supporters so deep in denial, you can't see the trees for the forest?

Obama will cheat to WIN! Get over yourselves on St. Obama. The guy is slime-bucket through and through..

Here are Ohio's Rules and Regs passed in 2005 (not 8 days ago)... dufases!

10. She's a BIG Hillary Supporter
This just goes right along with Hillary's letter telling her people to take over the counting process at polling locations.

This way, she can cheat and then draw attention away from herself by accusing Obama of doing it.

This is the same trick she used with the voter suppression in Nevada. Remember?

17. Tonite, a local RI Political analyst Darryl West, alluded to the term "Chicago Politics" negatively
The polls were packed in RI at 5:30pm tonight. I believe Hillary will do well in Rhode Island and win it over a large margin. If the Rezko Trial had begun earlier in Feb.. as it was originally scheduled, the backlash would have been awesome. As it is, many people are afraid Obama is just another sanitized version of a Chicago politician duping the public into voting for him...

From a legal standpoint is the signature line.

The part that doesn't look good is (Obama for America)

So, We'll just have to see if anyone follows up on this issue or just let it go.

They were to be Monitors (observers) to watch for cheating. And the false accusation
by Clinton's cheif campaign council, Lynn Utrecht is a lie. Which one is it-word was they
were turned away because of "lack of credentials"-meaning they never entered. How
does someone aggressively challenge a voter in a non-caucus primary? What a bunch
