My sister voted in Texas for Hillary. Her husband voted for Obama.
And because I love them both I am just proud that they voted for Democrats in the Lone Star State.

Go Democrats!

1. My family split also
Mom, dad, and two sisters in-law voted for Hillary. All three of my brothers voted for Obama.

5. So I'm not alone.
At my company it was mostly for Obama, but a few for Hillary here in California.

6. They are in their 60's and aren't going to the caucuses.
They are adorable (my sister and her hubby with 45 years of marriage) and they laughed telling me "we cancelled each other out, David").

disabilities or jobs that work at night..what a stupid system...

it is usually professionals and people in their mid years that go to caucus's...i hate that system..especially in open states..it lends itself to nefarious stuff!

thanks for your answer..so glad they got to vote..and 60's is the new 40's...trust me on that!! they are young!!

7. Yeah, I grew up in Texas as a boy and most of our family was Republican.
But I gotta tell you, there's no Democrat tougher than those Texas Democrats. They are fighters.

Out here in Los Angeles, being a Democrat is sort of expected by most.

Are you the only Democrat in your family, Olney Blue?

I'm the only one. The worst part is getting emails explaining that I should pray for Bush.

14. Well, you have the DU family and we don't send you those e-mails.
My brother was a right wing conservative in Texas for decades. He's slowly coming around, but I got all of his e-mails and so I understand.

15. Well, the good news is....
 I AM praying for Bush- that he be impeached and held accountable for his war crimes.

4. They Should've Just Talked To Each Other, Saved Some Gas And Energy, And Stayed Home LOL
Always cracks me up when spouses vote for opposite candidates. Talk about a waste of time!

12. Game theory
Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 08:56 PM by lynyrd_skynyrd
If one of them stays home and the other one goes out to "get groceries" or "buy smokes" but secretly votes, then it doesn't work. Zero sum game theory dictates that the only option for both of the players is to go out and vote.

I am not lying. We both vote Dem, but in primary elections, our votes sometimes differ.
