MSNBC: Inside the Hillary campaign saying Ohio is NOT enough.
Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 09:44 PM by Thepricebreaker
MSNBC is reporting (on TV so dont ask for a link right now) - People inside the people the Clinton camp are saying Ohio is not enough.
Hillary wants to continue, the democrat leaders will not be able to stop her, and its "grim determination".

With McCain now "officially" getting the nomination - a full rose garden presser with Bush tomorrow endorsing McCain - The democrats need to get their nominee ASAP!

3. Sorry, but if Texas looks at it is tonight, it's over for Clinton
And the party leaders will pull her aside for an emergency meeting tomorrow so she will be forced to step aside for Obama. Obama has a bloc of 50+ SD's waiting to endorse him tomorrow as a design to force Hillary to drop her campaign.

22. Apparently you keep ignoring an important fact, Maddy....
Obama has been cleared by Fitzgerald in his investigation as not being involved WHATSOEVER in the Rezko indictment. Obama would have ALREADY been on the witness list for the trial if he was, and he isn't and that point is moot. I know you're a very stubborn Hillary supporter, Maddy, but you have to accept the fact that Hillary has too much to climb in terms of delegates, and the blocs of 50+ SD's are going to push Hillary out tomorrow on their endorsement of Obama.

23. The boyz @MSNBC don't play nice with other genders
I actually have found myself watching FOX (a bit) lately due to the OVERT mysogeny at MSNBC and to my great surprise they were not nearly as unbalanced nor as sexist as I was led to believe.

13. *WHAT* awful week?
He didn't have an awful week COMPARED to Hillary's Macaca comment yesterday, plus Hillary's NOT going anywhere with the delegate count, so it's over for her. I'm sorry Maddy, I love you, but it's the grim reality of the harsh truth. You *KNOW* in your heart that Mississippi next week will swing for Obama because Hillary's too focused on PA than MS, and *THAT* net gain that Obama will easily erase Hillary's gains for tonight.

I can't remember how much of an underdog Bill was in 1992. How far from behind did he have to come?

27. Bill was running against George H.W. and Ross Perot
There wasn't a lot enthusiasm except for Perot's Charts. We all loved his charts. H.W. bored us to death yet now we know he wasn't near as dumb as many of us thought. Bill was positive, bingo, winner with about 45% of the votes.

33. No. I mean Bill in the primaries
I wasn't terribly politically aware right then, but it seems to me there was something about "It ain't over til the fat lady sings" and Bill coming from behind to win the primaries and become the nominee.

They were wearing tshirts at the convention saying "The fat lady sang" iirc.

How far back did Bill come from?

34. Good question, I vaguely remember that G.H.W. was suppose
to win (Gulf War I ya know) but when the economy became a critical issue and it looked like G.H.W. couldn't fix anything, then the Dems seem to take a bigger interest in running against Bush, even Perot got into the mix. Not sure when the primary campaigning began during that time, probably not as early as this campaign. It seems the Kerrey from Neb. was doing alright until he was accused of seeing a shrink?? Not sure about that. But Clinton came on strong once the Dems had an issue and that was the economy. Banks had failed, homes lost, a bit worse than what we are dealing with now. We are quickly headed there tho. Clinton was positive with his plan to get the economy strong again and that middle America needed help and quick and he could do it and explained that taxes would have to be raised, that there would be some pain before we had a gain (something like that). I believed he was the best the Dems had to offer at the time. Sure wish I had the smarts to know how this politial game is played but Bill did impress my family. For sure the 92 primary was nothing like this primary! Not near the interest. People were slowly getting the picture of who Reagan really was and anyone connected to him by 1991!

Top Clinton Surrogate say its over:Updated
by NJ Dem
Tue Mar 04, 2008 at 09:06:01 PM EST

I have been a participant (although not very active) on this site for a couple of years. So I hope some of you will give me the benefit of the doubt because I cannot name my source. Its very simple, the race is over and top Clinton people have internalized this as of yesterday 3/3/08.

NJ Dem's diary :: ::
The person I am referring to, in an unguarded private moment, was recounting the exhausting time this surrogate has had. You all know this person, the person is a top surrogate for the Clinton Campaign, this person has incredible access in the Clinton Campaign and, although not an attack dog, is considered a Clinton loyalist.

After my source expressed sympathy for the surrogate, the surrogate said " oh well, its all ending tomorrow anyway". My source is non-political, this was a single unguarded moment in a very long afternoon in my source's presence.
