Hillary won the battle tonight, but has lost the war
She needed huge wins to catch up in the delegate race. As it stands, she will only pick up a couple of delegates on the night. Obama will increase his lead in Mississippi and Wyoming next week. At this rate Hillary will have to win the rest of the primaries by 25% or more just to break even.

Thats the reality. The rest is just spin.

1. Obama isn't going to have enough delegates to win anything.
So, who cares?

4. She won't increase her delegates in the net.
Her strongholds won't net the delegates in TX, nor in the caucus.

But she fought hard scorching the earth along the way.

17. Thats a late start
way too late to win without subverting democracy. Look at whats left and how far behind she is, even after her "big night".

10. i doubt she'll even pick up delegates tonight
the results coming in were the primary results, and Obama won all the high-delegate areas in the state. Plus they're not factoring in the caucuses.

Those will negate the win in Ohio.

Overall, I'd wager $5 that Obama picked up a net gain of 4 or 5 delegates tonight.

If a Clinton supporter said something like this they'd be "alerted" and "reported" and PM'd with threats and....

...oh that's right, Obama and Co. are bound by a different set of rules.

16. Again, the ignorance of people here regarding the DNC is astounding. It's not "pledged delegate...
...leader wins." It's "who is most electable and who can make the most persuasive argument at the DNC."

ALL WITHIN THE RULES. ALL DEMOCRATIC.

is hardly "kicking ass".

The result of tonight is that she has been mathematically eliminated.

Its all over but the crying.

23. The Republican's won tonight - Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton if it comes to it I will not vote
I heard her say "Make no mistake in the fall we will be one united party." That Party won't include me. I am disgusted with her tactics and feel that she will do anything to win. She has betrayed the Party and if she continues the Party will never recover! Those Republican's that voted today in Texas for Clinton are the winners tonight! Make no mistake of it!!!!!!

Obama will hit her back, no question about it. 54% of the Dems say that she went too far in her negativism, so Obama will get a pass if he throws mud at her.

44. Bornaginhooligan's Metaphor Emporium.
Clinton scored a fourth quarter touchdown, now Obama's got the ball and all he has to do is run out the clock because he's still 140 points ahead.

Clinton was in check. She took a pawn. She's still in check.

Pendulum experiment- Find a large pendulum, with a heavy weight, and a wire attached to the ceiling. Hold up the pendulum to your nose on one side of the room. Let the pendulum go. It will swing away to the other side of the room, and then start swinging back. The naive might think the pendulum is going to crash into your nose. In fact, some people consider it quite psychologically intimidating. But if you know the math, you've got nothing to worry about, baby.
