Congratulations to The Decent Hillary Supporters of DU
This goes to people like ruggerson, Kerry2008, Maddy McCall, Rinsd, DSB, and to anybody I have missed (Which there is but I'm having trouble of thinking of them). Throughout this flame war over the past 2 weeks in which DU has turned into a cesspool, our cesspool, you guys and gals havent really gotten into the gutter and I respect that and would like to congratulate you on your candidate's victories tonight. There are other supporters that I do not extend the same congratulations too. I recognize that DU has gotten shitty lately from both sides. The shittiness of certain Obama supporters towards Hillary and her supporters is ridiculous, as is it vice-versa. I still believe it seems that there is so much more shittiness towards Clinton is because we just have more supporters. Anyway, Congrats on your wins, and its on to Mississippi and Wyoming.

4. Thank you.
I appreciate this very, very much.

I'm a native Texan who lives in Mississippi. I'm excited about tonight--and seeing you say this really means so much. I'm having surgery next week, so I won't be able to be here with y'all as Mississippi's results come in, but I want to tell you that, whichever way it goes from this point, I appreciate VERY MUCH your kind words tonight and the way you represent your candidate.

6. Thank you...good luck with your surgery next week.
Make sure you get your pain meds, you'll probably need it...lol. I saw that in 2004 the black vote was 56%. If that holds true, they dont even need to hold a primary.

8. I do predict that Obama takes Mississippi.
I don't have a problem at all with that.

When the GE comes, whichever Dem wins, I'll proudly place his or her sign by my mailbox. :D

13. Look, I think Hillary can take Wyoming
The problem I feel is that she simply ignores these states, and thats why she does so poorly. If she spent more time in the caucus states like she did in Nevada, she did better. I'm not sure yet that Obama is going to win the TX Caucuses. I think he will, but she spent a lot of time in Texas and could motivate her supporters just the same.

26. The TX Caucus Had a lot of Problems
Check out the second clip on HillaryspeaksforME.com. People weren't even checking voters' information when they were signing in.

9. Thanks hnmnf, your guy did good too
I liked Barack's speech tonight.

In a couple of months we'll have a ticket, whomever it turns out to be, and we can move on and beat the crap out of McCain.

14. There will be a lot of divisions that I hope we can clean up
If Hillary wins, I'm afraid the youth vote will go away. If Obama wins, there are those security moms and more moderate to conservative dems that could go McCain's way. And if Hillary wins, DU will implode...lol.

16. much as a unity ticket seems improbable right now
as we get closer to the convention it may very well be the one way to ensure that we win. I'm still of two minds about it. But if neither of them can really close the deal, that might be the one way to win this.

18. Maybe, though I could never imagine Hillary playing second fiddle to anybody and I couldnt see Obama
doing it either. I think both of them are too big of "stars" to be on each other's ticket. I think if Obama puts a strong foreign policy white guy or Bill Richardson on the ticket, he should be fine.

23. I agree
it's tough to see it for either of them. Especially with Bill in the mix. But who knows? There have been stranger tickets before - Jack/Lyndon for starters.

I initially wanted to post a congratulatory message, but kept seeing "o-bot" and "obamaton" stuff, so I lost that lovin' feelin'. But you are right. It is the right thing to do to congratulate those who have been positive contributors at DU.

So Congratulations on your wins tonight. While we may still be pulling for our own candidates, may we eventually enjoy camaraderie and work together in the GE.

We have some great people supporting both candidates. You've selected some of the best of Hillary's supporters here on DU. I'm sure there are others that are also good, but these are some of the best.

Congratulations to all of you. I hope you're hearts are filled with as much joy tonight as my own. Which considering the fact that I'm riding a Texas Democratic grassroots high this evening is a vast amount of joy.

You're all the best! :grouphug:

I'll admit I've had a hard time keeping my cool lately, which is why I haven't really been in here lately. There's too much negativity and it brings out the worst in me.

Thanks so much for being awesome. :yourock:
