A few demographic concerns regarding Obama

OK, I start this by saying I'm an Obama supporter. I am not fond of Hillary. Her campaign has not appealed to me. I am disappointed and disgusted with the tone of her campaign.

But all that said and done, she has had some obvious inherent advantages with regards to race, gender, age, and class.

As an Obama supporter, I'm also somewhat disappointed with the results. Sure, the delegate count still favors Obama.

But he is still having a difficult time breaking ahead with seniors, white working class people, and white women. He did well among these groups in MD, VA, and WI but unfortunately in other largely blue collar (rust belt type states), Obama is still have a tough time with blue collar people. I was also especially disappointed with the results of the race question in OH showing 80% of the 20% that believed race was important went for Hillary. It reminds me why I have never particularly liked OH and why many younger people are leaving the state (that and I am from MI so I have to dislike it). But he had a similar issue in CA, NJ, and MA. Also, with seniors she has done better in these states and FL.

Regardless of whether he wins the nomination, these are crucial questions in the GE regarding his electability. Note, I'm not talking about Clinton's own electability in the fall....

1. I think there is a difference in the primaries in the GE.

In the primaries it is Dem candidate against Dem candidate.
In the GE, all Dems want to see a Dem in the WH.

2. The terms that I heard tonight

were more that they felt that HE felt that he was too good for "common folk".
HOWEVER...I honestly think that it was a nice way to say they were racists. But to deny the fact that racism IS going to play a part in certain areas and certain demographics is just kidding ourselves.
