Why be mean and nasty toward other Dems?
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 01:56 AM by Sugarcoated
What does that do for your candidate, or accomplish in any way, for that matter? Do you think the ends justify the means? Isn't that a the Repub attitude? Is that how you hope to win over anyone whose on the fence? If anything, I would think that would have the opposite effect.

1. Some think that it somehow props up their candidate by tearing down another...
It's a real shame to see them resort to such tactics.

But we're not enemies here, we're on the same team.

2. Not a popular response, but true...
...because some Dems, like most of the general population, are idiots.

They're voluntarily uninformed cheerleaders with a distorted sense of self-importance.

Well, you asked......

8. Obama tried to stay positive and above the fray.... Hillary got down in the mud....
...Obama WAS trying to "play nice" with a fellow Democrat.

NOW... he has no reason to hold back.

If she's going to play the politics-of-personal-destruction game... then so be it.

Take her down, Barack. She's earned it.

11. Well, maybe he should get tougher
I mean, he has to find a way to walk that line and still be who he is. I actually think Hillary getting negative is good for Obama. He needs to toughen up for the Repub slime machine. Clinton's "attacks" are kitten paw swipes compared to what's to come in the general election.

12. Yes, why be mean and nasty? Why denigrate the experience & integrity of a
fellow democrat who has energized and inspired millions of voters?
Why insult and ridicule, with sarcasm and insincerety at every turn?

Why support a candidate who models such behavior, and thinks
it's a fun game?

Hillary is no role model for women.

America does not need another bully in power. "Fighter" indeed.

14. Because the Bush/Clinton elite are only interested in power.
She's not a Democrat. She endorsed McCain, and is getting cozy with Karl Rove.

17. Msg to Dem candidates: Stop competing, sell your strengths, both attack McCain
The Democrats now have a huge advantage over the Repubs if they get smart.

20. I don't think the Republican nominees behaved
in a mud-slinging manner. And they had very stark differences in policy. It is kind of sad and embarrassing.

I actually enjoy this brand of politics.

I just wish some candidates would realize when they are beaten.
