Unbelievable. Lots of long sad faces among the "political analysts" on CNN right now!
I don't see one neutral "political analyst" among them, every one of them was very happy earlier when Obama won Vermont, but now it's all sad faces and trash talking about Senator Clinton's wins tonight on CNN.

Last time I saw so many sad looking "news" personalities on T.V. was when the Challenger Disaster happened.

Unreal. What a shameful display of media bias.

4. Oh grow up!
Obama is the one who hired one of Carl Rove's students to run his campaign, and Obama is the one who secretly was reassuring the Canadian Government not to listen to what he was saying about NAFTA, and it's Obama's Next Door Neighbor/friend, who is on trial for corruption in Chicago, and who made a secret land swap deal with, NOT Hillary!

Do you seriously think that those are his only skeletons in his Chicago closet? I seriously doubt it, and if their are more, those are not going to stay hidden for long once the Republican Hate Machine starts to focus on his past.

You and your guy Obama seriously need to do some major damage control and stop lashing out at the Democratic base or you all will sink his hopes of future political office.

9. White Water?!? Oh Please! Is that the best you got?
Maybe you where to young, or too High to remember the 1990's, but White Water was probably the most thoroughly investigated, non-News story in the history of Political Journalism and they found NOTHING!!!

That's why they finally had to start digging into Bill's personal life, because they found NOTHING to "get" him on!!! It was just a bad, money losing, land deal!

The Clinton's are probably the most thoroughly scrutinized people in AMERICA! That's why I'm confident they will not disgrace the Democratic Party and will not disgrace The United States of AMERICA and THAT is what I think America needs right now.

43. Oh...Obama was savaged by the media for the last three days......
at Hillary's pleas.....but it ain't over!

Hillary Clinton has convinced the media that it is biased against her, one of the great (and rare) successes of her presidential campaign, akin to her creation of the vast right-wing conspiracy responsible for conceiving a string of sexual and other disgraces in her husband's White House.
With classic chutzpah, Clinton would have us believe that in a campaign in which she has escaped the most basic scrutiny of her finances, her husband's business relationships and her claims of experience, she is hurting because of the media's favorable treatment of Barack Obama.

On the race itself, the media has time and again let itself be manipulated by a Clinton campaign deftly managing expectations, albeit in increasingly surreal ways. Only two weeks ago the consensus was that Clinton had to win Texas or Ohio by 20 point margins to have a shot at the nomination (at the time these margins still seemed plausible). In recent days, her campaign has put out the word that if Obama doesn't win all four contests this Tuesday, it will be a sign of trouble for him. Of course journalists, no matter how lazy or gullible, know this is stupid, but nonetheless, maybe in a failed effort at fairness, they now seem to accept that Clinton needs to win either Texas and Ohio by any margin. Suddenly gone is the original assessment that Clinton has to win big on March 4, despite the fact that it is mathematically verifiable that there will be too few contests after Tuesday for her to make up the delegate count if she doesn't put a big dent in Obama's lead now. This judgment has become more accurate daily as Clinton's superdelegate lead melts away.

Losing eleven contests in a row, mostly by far wider margins than anyone had anticipated, would doom any campaign (in fact, can anyone think of one major primary contender who has survived such a string of defeats?). Yet the media continue to portray Clinton as strongly viable, if not quite the frontrunner. Again, this is a remarkable feat by her campaign, and an utter failure by most journalists to accurately portray the state of the race.

Clinton has been able to twist these expectations because so many are still in awe of her and her husband, attributing near-mystical powers to their ability to come back from the dead (the latest example, we are told, was her narrow New Hampshire win two months ago). At the same time, she has set up the media as sexist and easily wooed by Obama. This may be true, but, if anything, this has lead the guilt-ridden mainstream press to soften its negative coverage of the Clintons. Nowhere is this more visible than in the complete lack of recent interest in the couple's finances: far more has been written about Obama and Rezko, despite the relative benignity of the charge, than about how Bill and Hillary have amassed the tens of millions of dollars that make up their fortune, starting with her Arkansas cattle futures deal and ending with his Kazakhstan connections. There is a rich vein of potential conflict of interest, corruption and misuse of power that the media should relish covering in great detail, but much of the discussion has been relegated to a few bloggers. A particularly opportune time for coverage should have been when Clinton pulled out $5 million seemingly out of nowhere, to finance her campaign, but we're still left to wonder how these long-time public servants have instant access to such sums, especially since no tax returns are available.

In the meanwhile, journalists have been covering the cackle, the misty eyes and the pantsuit; Clinton should be eternally grateful for this, as it has distracted us from far bigger sins, made her look like a victim of the predominantly male political media's sexism, and rendered journalists insecure about their ability to cover her campaign objectively...

20. As long as he's living with Katy Tur. He gets the "youth perspective" from
her. She's not an intellectual heavyweight, unfortunately, so his perspective might be a bit skewed. He's also older than her father, and better matched to her mother in terms of age and life experience (her parents are divorced), which probably makes any family encounters a bit, er, strained.

He's coming off like the quintessential "age inappropriate" participant at a youth activity--the old lecher at the love in, the fiftyish creepy fellow in the white suit skulking around the corners of the disco, the guy who looks like he's some kid's father at the rave.

He wanted to be an "Edward R. Murrow" type, but he's tarnished, rather than burnished, his legacy with his excessively partisan and petulant behavior of late, and he is pretty much unwatchable for large swathes of time--to the point where it's almost not worth tuning in--I cheerfully "give him a miss" nowadays when before I'd make it a point to watch. Somehow, I don't think ERM would give covert "shoutouts" to the youngster he's schtuping on his radio or TV programs, or be so openly partisan in a primary contest. He did have a sense of mature, seasoned propriety in that regard, which KO apparently lacks.

54. She is a recent college grad, who went to school in Santa Barbara.
The daughter of the famed, groundbreaking (and YOUTUBE suing) "Chopper Bob" Tur, and she calls herself an "independent producer."

To be charitable, her stuff is .... schlock. She gets her pals to vote it up and "greenlight" it for CURRENT TV, but it stinks on ice, much of it. It's really pretty awful. She is bankrolled in this pathetic "finding myself after college" effort by her paw, but at least she doesn't have to pay rent in NY, having moved in with KO in his brand-spanking-new Trump condo.

If you want to have a laugh, here ya go. http://current.com/people/KatyTur

She's cute as a button, but she doesn't come off as the sharpest knife in the drawer, and she is no media natural--not by a long shot--Barbara Walters or Andrea Mitchell or Candy Crowley aren't feeling her hot breath on their necks, to put it nicely. I note that she got rid of the Faux-like hyperblonde hair, in favor of a more New Yorkish hair color tone, perhaps to make herself appear a bit less airheaded, but it doesn't help much....crap is crap.

The two of them as a couple look like gramps taking his favorite granddaughter out for a "nice meal" or something. It's a bit, er, unseemly. Of course, Larry King pulled the same shit--seven times. I guess some of these "On The Air Personalities" think they're Babe Magnets--and they certainly are accommodated by some ladies.

He wasn't married, so that's not at issue--he's the poster child for arrested development, actually. He could be making up for a less-than-successful teen and young adult social life (to say nothing of his early and later middle-aged years) --who can blame him, I suppose? He'll never have a higher "Q" rating--his already a bit past the peak of his curve, so he may as well "get moving" and make hay while the sun is still shining.

I suspect she's "using" the old fool as a stepping stone to try to advance her own media career (good luck with that--see her stuff at the link above, it's...ghastly), and when the bloom is off the Keith rose, she'll move on. But hey, ya never know. Maybe she likes old Gramps! There's someone for everyone, I guess--and he gives hope to grandfathers across the land that they too might behave like old lechers one day without being reproached in polite society!

19. MSNBC wants McCain to win. They're owned by GE, a top ten Pentagon contractor.
That's why they're pushing Obama so hard. GE takes BILLIONS out of our taxpaying pockets each and every year, not even counting the paltry sum they make from their "propaganda arm" at MSNBC and the NBC family of networks.

They want Obama as the nominee, so McCain can tear him to shreds with sharp teeth --and if a contrived "terra attack" scares the shit out of the sheep while all this goes on, so much the better--and then, while they're wiping the blood off the floor and crying crocodile tears over the "tragic loss" of the so-called Liberal-Change candidate, they will solidify their viewership as the "Lefty" channel (even though they surreptitiously shop rightwing themes all the live-long day). It's a win-win for them. Play the lefty, and support the military-industrial complex.

45. And I am going to make a prediction--watch FauxSnooze "trend left" over the next four years.
They'll still keep their "popular" rightwing shows, but they'll start covering the news in more "fair and balanced" fashion. They'll also have some lefties with TEETH, instead of just wimps like Colmes and consequently, with a straight face, they will be able to say that they ARE "fair and balanced."

The reason they will do this is because they see the handwriting on the wall, and they want to retain access to power. The way to do that is to curry favor with those in power, who are likely to be DEMOCRATS for the near term, anyway.

The reason they want to retain access to power isn't all about ideoogy with them--it really isn't (though they have been ideologically motivated in the past, it was tied up with their bottom line and the GOP stance on issues of import to THEM). They're the most craven of networks--they worship the almighty dollar/euro/yuan. They could give a shit if Hitler in a Pink Tutu was running the country--if he was popular, and favorable coverage of him garnered them scads of mouth-breathing viewers and piles of revenue, they'd praise him and his tutus "con brio."

As a consequence, because of less offensive content, along with the pretty colors, perky and vapid presenters, and simplistic graphics, there will be a gradual migration of viewers who have, in the past, said they'd NEVER watch the network.

52. They don't WANT to know. As Nicholson famously said in that role of roles, they
"can't handle the truth."

MSNBC is not a hugely profitable enterprise--it's almost more trouble than it is worth...EXCEPT that it is a brilliant propaganda arm that keeps the sheep huddled around its electric fire, warming themselves by its light and being fed spoonfuls of bullshit between courses of soppy, bad-for-you-but-tasty crap they're desperate to hear. You can tell the truly addicted, too--they repeat the crap those talking head clowns spout almost word-for-word. And for that reason--the propaganda reason--the MSNBC franchise is invaluable.

And Olbermann is the King of the Working Dogs, the Border Collie extra-ordinaire, the Four Million Dollar Pooch, rounding up the sheep and herding them into the MSNBC pen, snuggled up against their tee vees. He's the one that keeps them tuned in for all their news, and more importantly, all of their bullshit punditry, from Morning Joe to Fucker Tucker, Tweety and beyond, even if the bulk of what they shop is total crap.

Here's the deal: when you are old, or ugly, or maybe a bit paunchy or plump, and someone is telling you, with all sincerity in their eyes and upon their face, that you are handsome, beautiful, the most wonderful human being to stroll down the pike in a thousand years, the cleverest, the smartest, and your opinion is the "bestest" one of all...well...you WANT to BELIEVE.

It's easy to swallow the bullshit when it is covered with honey and accompanied by words that you are desperate to hear--even if they're sweet little lies.

27. Keith Olbermann wants McCain to win???
Seriously...that's got to be the dumbest comment I think I've ever read on this board, and that is seriously saying something.

29. No, GENERAL ELECTRIC wants McCain to win. Follow along, why don't you?
It's not that hard--pull the string and stay focused, please.

GE is a top ten Pentagon contractor. They understand that the strongest national defense candidate--the one who will CHALLENGE the conventional wisdom, AND the conventional Pentagon spending-- is one who has a seat on the SASC and the endorsement of some heavy duty flag/general officers (one of whom, before he became Vice Chair of the JCS, ran N8--the policy/programs/ moneybags appropriation/allocation arm of the USN--and who knows his military programming backwards and forewards). That candidate is Senator Clinton.

In short, put Clinton in, and the fucking military-industrial gravy train grinds to a halt. Stupid spending ceases. Boondoggle programs are scrutinized. Horseshit appropriations dry up.

And the biggest sighs of relief will come from the MILITARY when that happens. See the film "Pentagon Wars" for a sense of what they are enduring these days.

That's why the suits at GE not only "allow" but encourage Olbermann to flog the weakest Democratic candidate shamelessly, without any regard for "journalistic integrity" (not that he's a journalist, he's a pundit-entertainer and a sports commentator who is trying to hang onto a youthful demographic that will dump him the second something "cooler" comes along).

The GE backroom guys want Obama The Weak to be the easily crushable opponent to Spend-Spend-Spend Plus-Up That Pentagon Budget McCain, who will continue to "do business" with the Top Ten Pentagon Contractor, General Electric, who will continue to "Bring Good Wars To Life."

See "Useful Tool." That describes Olbermann to a tee.

32. Bwahahahahahaha!! No one's crying on the Clinton team today.
Your concern is SO touching, though!

Pssst--that whining you're hearing is coming from the Obama nursery down the hall...it's so loud and carries so far that you probably mistook it for the Clinton one!

35. General Electric probably promised them a BONUS if Obama gets the nomination.
Set up the guy who's easiest to knock down, after all! They want McCain to get the nod, so that GE, can continue to Bring Good Wars To Life.

The GE propaganda team, and their overly sincere, clueless tools who don't "get" the big picture, might well see those bonuses going bye-bye!

36. The commentators were so glum on MSNBC I had to switch to CNN
It was slightly better there.

You just proved what Clinton supporters have been complaining about for a looooong time. The MSM are ALL BIAS in Obama's favor...even KO.

40. Is that why Hillary was the anointed one by the press...
...all through last summer and into the fall?

In fact, until Iowa - I only sensed that the M$M had already handed the nomination to Hillary!

I'm clueless as to what you are seeing or referring to?

49. As you said, you're clueless. Let me

explain it again. The media has talked for years about how Hillary Clinton would surely win the nomination BUT also discussed her "negatives" and "worried" about whether she could possibly win. They said the GOP looked forward to running against her and laughed about how easily she could be beaten.

That's called lying. The GOP FEARS Clinton. The media was trying to convince voters that she's a terrible person.

When Obama did well in an early primary or two, they started talking about him as if he were Jesus Christ. Obama was so inspiring! He was drawing in young voters! Clinton was in trouble! Blah blah blah.

That's also called lying. The GOP WANTS Obama to be the one they have to crush because he'll be easier to crush. They have been telling people he is the hope of the world, hoping to convince voters of that.

It's falling apart for them and they are sad. People are not as stupid as they thought. They wanted to do a good job selling Obama so that they might get bonuses or raises.

42. Yep, they can't stand it that they've failed in their

mission to convince all the suckers to vote for the Great Obama so that McCain can win in November.

On yesterday's six p.m. news, Jack Cafferty said very dismissively that anyone who was still undecided on the day of their state primary should not be allowed to vote.

Excuse me? Who died and made him God?

I knew it meant he was worried that those undecideds were going to decide for Hillary.

All those months of fawning over Obama, down the toilet. Do you suppose their GOP bosses will fire or demote them?

Gloria Borger has tried very, very hard to help Obama and smear Clinton.
