1. MS's 2004 Primary was 56% African American. I think we can call MS for Obama

31. I live in Mississippi- it won't be close
Hillary insulted Mississippi last fall with some remark about how only we and Iowa hadn't elected women to Congress- she added she would have expected that of Mississippi but not Iowa.

We have long memories here.

33. I dunno. Don't you have a whole lot of White Republicans with no reason to vote in their own primary
I dunno. Don't you have a whole lot of White Republicans
with no reason to vote in their own primary now that John
McCain has been annointed by the Holy One? What else have
they got to do on Primary Day besides come into our primary
election and cause trouble for us?

7. Don't call anything yet. WORK WORK WORK !
Don't take a single thing for granted. The Clinton machine DID gain some new traction last night, and they are finally learning to play hard EVERYWHERE. They could win in Wyoming and Mississippi unless Obama and his team start playing OFFENSE.

I think she could win Wyoming however.

34. The only way he'd lose is if Limbaugh nuts cross over to vote for Clinton
WIthout a Limbaugh effect, the only way he would lose is if his support drops significantly among African Americans or he fails to win 5-10% of the white vote. Not likely.

no over-confidence any more. While I know Mississippi is likely to go to Obama, after last night, nothing is to be taken for granted.

21. Thats everybody else's fault. I was extremely cautious for last night's races.
I saw the poll numbers and was stunned at the over confidence here. It was completely unwarranted. But if Obama cant win MS, he should just drop out.

4. MS will call it for Obama.. WIPING out any of Hillary's net gains last night
and just tacking on more leads for Obama, making the climb for Hillary even steeper.. almost 90" degree upwards.

Hillary should call it quits today.

8. Just remember
The day after the primary you will be forgotten. You will not see the Democratic nominee again until after the general election, if at all.

So enjoy your 15 minutes of fame. But here in Texas we are hearing that "giant sucking sound" of campaign workers leaving the state--permanently.

22. Why would they come back?
Our fate is sealed. Texas will vote Strongly Republican if HRC is the nominee. We may have a chance to turn Texas blue if Obama is the nominee, but chances are he won't care. He will invest his time and money where there is a better chance of winning.

13. Mississippian
Here's a Mississippian weighing in. This will be the first time my vote will count in a presidential race. I'm a white, 69-year-old woman and I am firmly behind Obama. While we do have to count heavily on the AA vote, not all old white women will vote for Clinton.
