So why can't Obama get it done?
He had momentum, he has star endorsements, he has his "speech", he has the youth, he has big rallies. All Hillary has is the BIG states. Why can't Obama get it done?

1. He's ahead in electoral votes, and he IS getting it done!

3. I'm sure you mean delegates but the states she's won have more electoral votes.

8. Yes, but this is a primary, not the GE.

21. Electoral votes only count in the GE...
...and I don't expect any serious difficulty against a slug like McCain.

One interesting statistic would be to compare the total party turnouts in those so-called "important" states. Sure, only the Dems have a contested primary now, but how many states are in actual danger of going/staying red for "four more years" of McCain?

I think that Clinton's most impressive accomplishment yesterday was in actually gaining a little ground, despite the perception of momentum going Obama's way. She didn't turn it around, though, and her hopes to take the lead are fading far beyond the reasonable.

14. He's obviously NOT getting it done.
He'd be our nominee (with all the help he's gotten) by now if he was.

2. Narrow Wins in popular votes for the three states gained Clinton nothing.
Obama IS getting it done: More popular votes, more states won, more delegates earned and soon, very soon, more Super Delegates.

Hillary will be told to stand down and look pretty.

5. Heh.
"Hillary will be told to stand down and look pretty."

Boy that makes your candidate look appealing. :eyes:

I've said elsewhere I didn't vote in my own primary because I liked both candidates and thought I would be happy with either one but it's posts like yours that make me hope Hillary wipes the floor with Obama and if she doesn't, makes me seriously consider not bothering to vote in the GE.

And I actually like Obama. I just don't like having a candidate shoved down my throat by such hostile "Democrats".

I also can't stand seeing posts demanding I vote in the GE when the supporters of the candidate most likely to win act like Republicans.

11. Don't be so sure about those super delegates.
Some have switched to Obama, they can switch back. They want to be on the winning team.

4. Because It WASN'T Done
I wrote a post a few weeks ago - and reminded people of it a week ago - quoting one of the blogs. The gist of it was, savvy bloggers and pundits knew that February was going to be very friendly to Obama, and yet when he started winning those primaries, they treated it like it was a shock!

It was also known that March would bring Hillary back into friendlier territory - it was known! All this pressure that started building for Hillary to drop out hasn't been a coincidence.

6. He has a problem winning the big Democratic Machine states
And it means nothing because Democrats usually win these states anyway. Question is can Obama bring home some states that have been trouble to Dems that Hillary can't. And I say yes. Gov. Strickland OH will support any Dem candiate even though HRC is his choice. Ohio can go Democrat with either. Can Hillary bring home any southern states including AK? I doubt it. Can Obama? Maybe.

9. And he has problems with swing states.
OH & FLA.

That's a death sentence.

But not to worry. he will run with HRC and we'll all be friends again.

will vote for Obama alone. Makes no sense.

It's unfair to suggest he had to win everything last night in order to get it done.

Obama can't handle it for 3 days? That's why he can't get it done?

If Hillary had all the help Obama has had she'd be our nominee right now.

It's because people like me who will be voting in a presidential election for the 10th time know that she is just another frightfully slick politician.

a one-term senator in his 40's is beating a Clinton for the Democratic nomination for President in March and you're asking why Obama can't get it done? Shouldn't you be posing that question to Mrs. Clinton?
