5. Who said I'm smart enough to offer any other options?
I just like to point out how terribly screwed US voters are, whomever they vote for.

2. I don't agree with worthless, but they are "centerists."
No total liberals here.

6. Is it 'centrist' to give up civil liberties to gain fake 'safety'?
Because if it is, these two 'centrist' candidates deserve neither, according to some smart man long ago... Oh yes, Ben Franklin!

4. I really prefer 4 more years of George Bush don't you?
I would be more than happy with either Hillary or Obama regardless of one or two votes I disagree with. I disagree on a whole lot more with Bush. I myself like having a job, health care, and the potential for disability if needed and social security - things Bush would love to take away from me.

9. Yes, but people who voted for Patriot Act love to take your civil liberties away.
Or don't those count anymore?

(By the way, you are aware of the fact that George Bush is not running, right?)

10. Nah, I don't think so.
(By the way:if you need a sarcasm-tag to make sarcastic comments, I would advice you refrain from it.)

12. You could have used one yourself
And my experience on the DU proves it is ALWAYS needed when posting sarcasm or there will NO DOUBT be several people who will attack for the sarcastic comment. OH, were you also being sarcastic? Sorry. My bad.

:)

14. But I meant what I said in my original post.
And yes, I have experienced a lot of people jumping on my neck for something I said, when they didn't recognize the sarcasm. ;)

11. Yeah, go pick some tulips and leave US politics alone.

Not so long ago in the Netherlands, somebody killed Pim Fortuyn when it seemed that he was going to be elected prime minister.

Then Theo Van Gogh, descendant of Vincent's brother, made a film about the Fortuyn assasination, and Van Gogh, too, was shot down and killed.

Tend to your own knitting.

As a reward, you will receive an autographed photo of Rush Limbaugh! Hooray!

15. Sure. That's idiotic.
It's myopic and shallow. And it's hardly the only issue. Continue on with your sucky "analysis".

17. Yes, it's one issue. The Patriot Act should sunset out
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 08:13 AM by cali
but it's not quite as dire as you make it out to be. I've actually read the entire thing. Have you? And the greater risk to our civil liberties is clearly the Supreme Court- as any half way educated person knows. duh.

18. On the contrary. It's the single most important issue next to the Iraq War.
