What has bitter political FIGHTING done for this country?
The American Public needs to unite and fight to win back our government from the special interests and to solve the serious problems facing this nation. The Clintons and the Bush clan have been engaging in bitter fights for decades and exactly what has gotten done for the American Public? Anyone?

But it sure has benefited the special interests.

7. I said we need to fight but we don't need to engage in stupid fighting.
We end up fighting among ourselves, defending our D or R against attacks from the other side WHILE NOTHING GETS DONE, except for the special interests of course. We need to fight SMART and fight the RIGHT FIGHTS. It's like Iraq. Does anyone think we don't need good national security? However, invading the wrong country was stupid and took our eye off the ball.

I seem to remember that a lot of the fighting in the 90 was defending the Clintons, not fighting on behalf of the American people.

2. The fights aren't even that bitter.
The second they get up close and personal it's time to discuss their handicaps and debate the merits of the iced tea.

6. not to take away from your argument, but do we really need
a President McCain, and hand them the loaded gun again. There is no way I would risk voting for McCain over Hillary or whoever.

The country cannot afford it right now.

10. Hate to break it to you but it's going to take more than uniting
Democrats to win in November and tackle the problems facing this country.

The Democrats were united in 2004 and where did that lead them?
