my prediction: deal will be made just before or at the convention
Obama will accept VP slot on Clinton/Obama ticket. At this point, neither can win without the other. A slight majority of Democrats support Clinton, and if she wins the nomination, with Obama leading in pledged delegates and probably the popular vote, she will have no chance in the GE. If Obama is given the nomination a sizeable percentage of Democrats will be turned off and stay home or vote McCain or 3rd party, again no chance in the GE. With that knowledge, it will simply be a matter of age. Obama is relatively young, and 8 years as VP will virtually guarantee him 8 years as President.

Just my likely scenario of how this mess will play out.

2. Why again would Obama accept VP? Especially with such a big lead?
Fuzzy Math doesn't play well with me.

5. He would win with a minority of Democrats votes. That will turn a lot of people off.
If he wants the nomination and a loss in the general, then go for it.

6. Not true.
Exit polls shows that a majority of Democrats would be happy with EITHER candidates.. by about 60% or so.

3. Why the fuck would Obama accept a VP ticket on a delegate lead?
It makes no sense, and Obama will not want Clinton for a VP because we're trying to get rid of DLC, and this ain't it.

4. Why should Obama accept a vp slot?
He's ahead in delegates. Someone who is ahead doesn't take leftovers.

8. Have people lost their minds?
Geez, Clinton wins Ohio (and it looks like she's not going to win Texas after the caucus
results are factored) and people act as if the Earth tilted on its axis.

If you do the delegate math, Clinton would have to win each of the upcoming states, garnering 65 percent
of the vote. That's not going to happen.

She's not going to win.

People please, let's keep our heads on straight. She won Ohio. She'll be behind 100 delegates after Texas is sorted
out.

It's time to stop allowing the media to dictate your view of reality.

9. If it is very, very close or Clinton is ahead, this could happen.
If Obama is ahead it could/should be Obama/Clinton, but I don't think she would take it. I would be happy with either.
