20. She Seems To Be About As Popular Or Unpopular As Obama
Looking to the general election, John McCain has a slight lead over both Democrats. McCain now leads Obama 47% to 44% and Clinton 47% to 46% (see recent daily results). Obama is viewed favorably by 51% and unfavorably by 48%. McCain’s numbers are 55% favorable, 43% unfavorable. Clinton earns positive reviews from 49% of Likely Voters nationwide and negative assessments from 48% (see recent daily results). Obama is trusted more than McCain on the issues of health care and education. McCain has the edge on negotiating trade agreements. Last week, a separate survey found that McCain is trusted more than Obama when it comes to National Security, the War in Iraq, and the Economy. Obama is trusted more on the issue of Reducing Government Corruption.

And Super Delegates will care a lot when Hillary starts polling better against Grand Pa McCain than Obama...

Obama just doesn't make folks feel safe...In Maslow's Heirachy Of Needs that one of the most important need of all...

12. Soon Obama will release his fundraising, TX delegate count will be official, Clinton will get
negative stuff thrown at her.

enjoy your fantasy. As long as you can forget Clintotn's negatives, your fine.
Although with the negative ads that will soon be unleashed on her, it'll be hard for you.

People already hate Clinton more than McCain.

30. My Prediction Is Coming True Faster Than I Thought
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Hillary Clinton leading Barack Obama nationally by five percentage points in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Clinton now attracts 48% support while Obama earns 43%. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Virtually all of the interviews for today’s update were completed prior to the announcement of Clinton’s victories in Ohio and Texas last night.

Looking to the general election, John McCain has a slight lead over both Democrats. McCain now leads Obama 48% to 43% and Clinton 46% to 45% (see recent daily results). A Rasmussen Reports video suggests that the Clinton victories in Texas and Ohio are good news for John McCain. In Washington State, McCain leads Clinton and is essentially even with Obama. The Governor’s race in Washington is also a dead-heat.

21. Hillary already is polling better than Obama against McCain
Here are the latest numbers from Rasmussen Reports:

McCain 47 - Obama 44

McCain 47 - Clinton 46

Within the margin of error but quite a comeback for Clinton compared to mid-February, when Obama was beating McCain by up to 6 points while McCain was beating Hillary by as much as 8 points.

24. That's One Poll
It would be unfair to cherry pick... In the RCP Average Obama is still doing better:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/national.html

But that will change...

In a time of peril Obama has to prove he can make folks feel safe...So far he has been unable to make the case...

10. Still allocating them. Once that's finished, Hillary should net in the single-digits.
The best write-up i've seen, from Chuck Todd - -

*** The delegate count: Based on preliminary results of last night's contests (the Texas caucuses are not yet factored in), here's where the Democratic delegate count stands: Obama 1,518, Clinton 1,429. The NBC News Hard Count has Obama at 1,307 to 1,175 for Clinton after last night's voting. The superdelegate count stands at Clinton 254, Obama 211. Here's how the states broke down: VT: Obama 9-6; OH: Clinton 73-62 (six unallocated); RI: Clinton, 13-8; TX: Clinton 46-34 (113 unallocated). That’s a net gain of 23 pledged delegates for Clinton. But before figuring out the Texas mess, Clinton had a net of approximately 13 delegates. If Obama wins the delegate battle in Texas (which the allocation formulas seem to indicate), he'll cut that 13 net by as many as 6. However, one estimate in Texas has Obama netting no more than one after the caucus, giving Clinton the possibility that she'll net more than 10 delegates when March 4 is all said and done. While not MAJOR progress on the pledged delegate front, it's impressive nonetheless since so many folks predicted her not even netting 10 delegates last night.

He seems to say she has a net gain of 23 (NYTimes has it at 27) then he takes off 10 for "the Texas mess" then he takes of 7 because of "the delegate battle in Texas".

Are there TWO messes/delegate battles in Texas? If so, what are they?

Spin matters. Perception matters. She'll spin this as a win and get a few news cycles. OTOH, Obama will win the next two and get news cycles out of that, along with releasing his huge fundraising numbers and apparently some SD's (and maybe Richardson?)

Game on...

26. By my count, 16.
Hillary gained 1 delegate over Obama in Texas.

Texas Primary: Clinton 64/ Obama 60
Texas Caucus: Obama 35/ Clinton 32

Hillary gained 15 delegates over Obama in Ohio

Ohio Primary Clinton 77/ Obama 62/ Edwards 2

The Vermont and RI Primaries canceled one another out.

Vermont Primary: Obama 9/ Clinton 6

Rhode Island Primary: Clinton 12/Obama 9

Of course, the real problem is the reporting, which is rallying HRC's base for no purpose.

Let's say that she does go on to win in all the states you just mentioned: an assertion with no basis that I can see.

The net gain she would need per race is 10 delegates each, and those states simply don't have that many delegates to yeild
in this closely fought election.

Clinton won, but it's a Pyrric victory. Now it's time for peace talks so that both sides of this debate don't get slaughtered
in the general election.
