Congratulations to the Clinton camp, but the race is still over.
The Clinton campaign did a little better than expected in Ohio and Texas, holding on to about 3-5% more vote than I for one had anticipated. But retaining another few points out of what was once a 30 point lead isn't momentum. And what the Clinton die-hards who are trying to spin this as putting the race up in the air again don't want to acknowledge is the delegate math. Even if Clinton won every single remaining state, it wouldn't bring her even with Obama. And if things shake out the way they're likely to, even if Obama did poorly the rest of the way, she wouldn't even have enough superdelegates to overturn the results.

All that narrowly winning Ohio and Texas does is delay the inevitable moment when Hillary has to step up and admit she's not going to be the nominee.

2. Oh no it isn't over. OBAMA MUST CHANGE TACTICS AND...
GO ON OFFENSE !! She has new momentum and could overtake him. It would be BAD for him to keep losing states. He needs to change tactics and start going on offense.

5. What momentum?
All she's doing is hitting a very large wall and backing and hitting it again.

She's not getting anywhere - it's OVER for her.

17. So having a 20% lead in Texas...
...three weeks ago and having it cut to 3$ and having a 25% lead in Ohio three weeks ago and having it cut to 10% is momentum? Interesting theory.

4. Do you really think the superdelegates are still going to flock to Obama?
After the stumbling ineptitude of his campaign in the last week or so? Obama will go in to the conventino with a 50-70 pledged lead at most. Once there, it is wide open.

8. Not from what I see.
The net gains that Hillary won last night? Wiped out via Mississippi and Wyoming primaries - and guess what? Hillary is ignoring both of them. Obama is going to be in both states and working the crowds, and will win them both by about 20% and add to his delegate lead.

14. More so than before Clinton endorsed McCain over Obama.
DNC officials and high elected Democrats tend to value things like party loyalty. Not to mention they usually don't apprecciate fearmongering and swiftboating.

Hillary did not "endorse" McCain. You are trying to give legs to something that has none.

No, it wasn't an endorsement, but it was the next best thing. I suggest you google "hyperbole."

How do you come to that conclusion? After last night, I would think Hillary might be the favorite and Obama the underdog? There's a long way to go.

18. Obama Has Lost His Nat'l Lead Against Hillary And McCain
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Hillary Clinton leading Barack Obama nationally by five percentage points in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Clinton now attracts 48% support while Obama earns 43%. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Virtually all of the interviews for today’s update were completed prior to the announcement of Clinton’s victories in Ohio and Texas last night.

Looking to the general election, John McCain has a slight lead over both Democrats. McCain now leads Obama 48% to 43% and Clinton 46% to 45% (see recent daily results). A Rasmussen Reports video suggests that the Clinton victories in Texas and Ohio are good news for John McCain. In Washington State, McCain leads Clinton and is essentially even with Obama. The Governor’s race in Washington is also a dead-heat.

Rasmussen is one poll... I await oher polls to confirm this... He peaked too soon...

It was an interesting fad- like streaking, the hula hoop, the leisure suit, and the pet rock...
