ALL WE ARE SAYING ... Is... Give... GORE... a... CHANCE!
Perhaps Barack Obama has too much charm and too little experience.
Perhaps Hillary Clinton has too much experience and too little charm.

I could care less who wins, but I really wouldn't mind having a Dem majority, not just white house, in 2009.

SO LETS GIVE GORE A CHANCE. And please hope he no longer has Joementum.

Peace and low stress DU.

But it will be either Obama or Clinton and the math says Obama.

4. Any of the three with beat old Mac
Mac is stuck being closest to Bush - poor war planning, high gas prices, walk away forclosures, (and if SSA was privitized, people's "safety net" would be sinking with their home prices).

Mac won't be hard to beat, and I think any of these triangulators can do it.

and it appears that most people actually believe this :eyes:

This is going to be a very difficult election for us.

27. My coworker
My coworker keeps telling me he has a reputation as a decent human being. At one time, he might have merited that, at least a little. He's given up every scrap of decency in recent years, though. But, the meme is still out there.

5. Strongly agree!
But as Gore teaches us: politics, much like the earth's climate, is not always linear.

Sometimes you reach a tipping point, like if Hillary pulls ahead of Obama in the national polls, then a lot of the superdelegates will start moving in her direction. B-)

34. Obama is a deal-breaker for me. I won't support him

for president or VP. He's a bald-faced liar who offers vague promises, says one thing to one crowd, the opposite to another. We've just had eight years of a guy like that.

And his wife is obnoxious to boot.

If Obama's on the ticket, I'll vote third party. Cynthia McKinney is my choice for Green Party nominee.

12. That's correct but here is my hope.
I see Hillary realizing that she won't win the delegate war. I see her continuing to throw Obama under the bus (a la her & McCains experience vs Obamas 2002 speech which is utter Bullshit and a disgraceful thing to do) knowing that she can damage him so she gets another shot in 2012. If she is successful at doing this than I would hope Gore would jump into the race at that point and eventually send her packing.

If HRC and BO and all the superdelegates are begging GORE to step in, I think he would consider it.

Didn't really believe it was a possibility until last night. I hope we are not too bloodied by the convention to win the GE.

Thanks Hillary. Your selfishness and arrogance may cost us in November.

I would vote for him again. I'm sure he would accept my vote unlike the current two contenders as well. I would probably vote for him on an absentee ballot this time around so that my vote for him could not be stolen as easily.

36. Obama has not locked up the nomination when he needs 46% of the

remaining delegates to win.

As for bringing in "a white guy" to save the party, why not? What difference does it make who saves the party? Isn't saving the party the goal?

As a woman, I'd like to see a woman president, and as a progressive, I'd like to see a black president, but it's most important to beat McCain. Clinton and Obama are not the ones I'd like to see be the first woman and black but I can support her, grudgingly. I will not vote for Obama for any office, will vote third party instead.

We could have elected Hillary Clinton easily had Barack Obama not decided to let his ego override common sense and enter the race as a freshman Senator a year after he got to Washington. Now the party is divided and we may have to go to a third candidate to defeat McCain. Obama has served as a stalking horse for the GOP, whether deliberately or accidentally.

It's more important to win than to run a candidate who can't win just to show that we support the rights of women and blacks. It's a given that Democrats support human rights.

35. Gore could unify the party but should not have

either Obama or Clinton as VP nominee. We need to end the infighting and beat McCain.

I will not vote for any ticket with Obama on it. Many other Democrats share my belief that he would be a terrible choice for president or VP. Others won't vote for Clinton.

Ergo, we'd do best with two people on our ticket, neither of them Obama or Clinton.

I still think Clinton can beat McCain, and Obama can't, but I'd go with Gore and any decent VP nominee.

(Don't worry, Gore would never pick LIEberman again. "Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me.")
