12. So when Clinton goes negative that's great,
but if Obama does it's "whining." What a double standard! And how can Obama be a sore loser when he's not losing? And after Clinton lost eleven straight and went negative on Obama, did you call her a sore loser too?

13. Actually, when he loses he congratulates Hillary both personally and publically
Your candidate is a rude and thoughtless person who only cares about herself. When she loses she doesn't even bother to thank those who did vote for her either. A perfect example of not having any tact or class, keep that in mind next time you brag about him being a sore loser.

34. So she has congratulated him and thanked supporters in the states she lost?
How does her victory speech last night have anything to do with that? In the states she has lost recently, she has simply acted as if they did not happen, not bothering to publicly congratulate him (I know she called him after Wisconsin) or thank her supporters in those states.

and heaven knows he has an embarrassment of delicious scandalous corrupt riches to work with. Hey, have you heard about what happened with the Rezco trial re Clinton and one of her associates? I don't think Clinton will be so eager to talk about Rezco anymore. Now, where should Barack go after the Income Tax Return thing? Gupta? The civil trial that's ongoing in which HIll is named? How about Giustra and his generosity? Hsu? Or maybe he should remind people of certain old scandals. As I said, a wealth of material to work with.

Sorry, pal, saying "I care for the truth" is no cover for your salivating over some imaginary non-issue to somehow magically appear in Hillary's tax returns handing your candidate the nomination.

16. I think this might be too "inside baseball"
to do any damage. Let's face it: nobody expects the Clintons to be clean. They expect just the opposite, in fact, and the fact that voters have been turning to Obama demonstrates the results of that expectation. But he needs to hit her on issues that matter to the average voter, issues that can be made to appear to matter to the average voter, or something really salacious. Tax returns, unless they contain write offs to hookers (and I have no reason to believe they do. They show nothing of the kind as far as I know), will not do it.

you don't think this resonates?

Bill Clinton lobbied for Dubai in the Port Deal, for instance.

Did he get paid?

He lobbied for Uribe and the new-NAFTA with Columbia.

How much did he get paid?

:wtf:

19. I'm talking about tax returns
not "open government." If Obama can make an argument that her tax returns signify something nefarious about her that we don't already know--that the Clintons are notoriously self-interested and secretive--then he should go for it. But I believe, realistically speaking, that this leads to nowhere. The stuff about Bill lobbying for Dubai, however, is a fine; do they NEED the tax returns to prove this? I don't think so, so it seems to me like putting the cart before the horse. Simply make an argument about Bill's bad business dealings and, if necessary, use the demand for tax returns to show it.

31. Yeah, I saw that astonishing graphic after I posted
And it's damning. I still think the better path would be directly through the Dubai connection, which garnered wide opposition from both Democrats and republicons, instead of through the tax returns. But whatever gets them to where they want to do. Maybe the Obama campaign thinks that if they start the pressure now, when PA rolls around the returns will be out (because of pressure) and will be new enough to have an effect on the election results. If that is the case, they will show themselves to be as smart as I think they are.

deserves an apology, it's the American people from the Obama campaign. Obama and his supporters actually think they can dupe the public??? No Nafta is not over, Rezko is not over, Obama's background check is not over. That's vetting, every candidate goes through it; and if Obama and his supporters can't take the heat---get out of the race.

53. Tax returns since Clintons left the White House will be made available on or around April 15
Faced with many legitimate questions about Senator Obama's long-time relationship with indicted political fixer Tony Rezko, the Obama campaign has chosen to lash out at Senator Clinton.

Here are the facts:

Over 20 years of the Clintons' tax returns are in the public domain.
Their tax returns since they left the White House will be made available on or around April 15.
This information will be in addition to 15 years of uninterrupted public financial disclosure reports.
Instead of making false attacks, we urge Senator Obama to release all relevant financial and other information related to indicted political fixer Tony Rezko
