NAFTA
Has anyone considered that what might have been said between Obama and the Canadian Consolate might have been something like "Don't worry, this won't affect Canada much"?

That would explain the Canadian Governments assessment

AND

Is probably close to the truth.

Most of what the US imports from Canada is natural resources, not manufactured goods and Canada already has stronger labour and environmental standards than the US so even if Obama reforms NAFTA nothing is likely to change on the Canadian side of it.

2. That was his big mistake
The story itself was not that damning, but it was unfairly presented that way. But he made a mistake denying the meeting in the first place, which made it look like he had something to hide. But I honestly believe he didn't know about the meeting when he denied it...the adviser wasn't sent by the campaign to meet with the Canadians, so he might not have known about it. If he knew that a meeting had taken place, I can't believe he would have been stupid enough to lie about it.

4. I think it is just another story that has been
blown out of proportion. Both sides should move on and forget it.

I don't think many of the voters are focused on it.
