SERIOUSLY: how can she win the generals?
She's got half the country detesting her, and nobody can deny that, she will rally the pebuplicans in a huge way in the general, and no one can deny that. She's also trying to politically destroy, minimize and insult who should be a friend and a democratic partner Barack Obama! I for one will never vote for Hillary Clinton, and if she keeps insulting Obama like that, she's gonna lose thousands of young voters and african americans. Also, the notion that she won the big states, well, any democrat will win the big states in the general, is she trying to tell us that McCain will win California and new york and mass?

what do you guys think?

3. Maybe she doesn't need the generals
if she can get enough colonels, majors, captains, and lieutenants.

4. She can't, she'll lose
Half of the Obama (primary) voters won't show up to vote for Hillary.

I honestly think that Obama as an independent has better odds of winning than Hillary as a Dem.

I personally know three Republicans who will vote for whomever gets the Democratic nomination.

Shine up that crystal ball... it's lying to you.

22. Not true
I have republican family members that will vote for her because they despise mcLame. And these are military people. They are not crazy about his 100 years bullshit, and they respect Hillary's IWR vote.

7. Seriously, she can't. The RW will come out in droves to vote against her.
They hate her with the heat of 1000 red hot suns.

Nothing motivates the republican electorate like the name "Clinton".

Not to mention with her "win at any cost" savaging of the Dem party, she isn't exactly winning over the rest of the Democratic Party.

Anyone who thinks the GOP will go easier on one candidate than another is either seriously underestimating the GOP, or wearing candidate-colored glasses (or both, for that emphatic third and final option).

9. There's only one way, but I don't see it happening if she wins the nomination.....
The only way she can win is if repugs are more upset about McCain than they , and Dems, are about Hillary.

She will alienate a small percentage of Democratic voters, every repug, and a decent amount of independents.

All elections are decided on independents and how many people you can lure from the other side.

10. If you look at national polls, Hillary's numbers are improving.
The following is based on the results of Rasmussen Reports rolling polls. The pattern since Feb 5th is very interesting.

Around 3 weeks ago, Obama was beating McCain by up to 8 points. Hillary was losing to McCain by up to 6 points. So it looked like only Obama could beat McCain!

Now, McCain beats Obama by 5 points, but Hillary is almost tied with McCain. So maybe Hillary is the strongest candidate to go up against John McCain?

17. Your post reaks of desperation. she hasn't been tough on BO, just wait til McCain
starts on him. And it appears quite a few people like her, in fact enough to have your candidate worried and flustered. Grow up, relax and help your candidate instead of whining.

25. BHO has proven to be polarizing to many Dems as well. And you're whole 'she's been mean' meme is
typical Dem - weak , which we don't need more of in this party. Politics has always been a bloodsport and it will continue to be. the one reason GOP hates the Clintons : they FIGHT back unlike most Dems. John "i'm above the swiftboating" Kerry is a prime example.

Big states: dont think of them as big but rather traditional Dem states. Nobody is saying McCain will win CA, NY or Mass but by the same token do you really believe BO will win KS, NE, ND, ID, AK, LA, SC, AL, and GA?

By the same token why would MINN or Conn or Maine not vote for Hillary in the GE if she's the nom?

In terms of the AA's , well, the Democratic party is the party that fought for them in the 60's, lost alot of southern support for it and is still feeling that loss today, you know, the same reason no Dem will win LA, SC, AL, or GA. I've been somewhat disappointed in our AA friends, do they really think the Repukes are going to take care of them? And all this Bill Clinton bashing - he's done more for AA's in this country than any president since , well , let's just say since the 60's and leave it at that.
