4. She mentioned it in her victory speech
as one of the big states that she won, and that a Democratic nominee needs to be able to win. Obama wasn't on the ticket, neither was Edwards.

13. There may be a few Tsongas and Brown fans out there saying
I told you so! The way I see it is that Atwater invented it. The Clintons coopted it. Rove perfected it. The Clintons are just continuing the same tried and true methods that have been responsible for this quarter century of Bush/Clinton rule.

17. It was stupid of Obama to purposefully remove his name from the ballot
If he hadn't, polls show it wouldn't have made a difference. But still, pretending that his name wasn't even on the ballot is false. He requested it removed.

Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 07:17 PM by galadrium
Thats pretty funny that she wants to claim that as a win.

40% of people voted for a candidate that wasn't even on the ballot.

33. Or a vote.
Since the first one was sort of a non-vote or a warmup for the Democrats. Jeez, this is gonna be a long season. Makes me nostalgic for the years when I didn't pay any attention.

34. I know.
I hate it. I wish we had a nominee to get behind now so we can start attacking that warmonger McCain. But it looks like we'll be fighting each other until the convention in August.

Oye.

35. For me
the Democratic nominee was someone I always accepted like an arranged marriage. Even John Kerry. I just wasn't emotionally involved before that. I just decided that whoever got picked I would decide to like and I did. Kerry wasn't perfect, but I found enough things to like about him and by the end I fell for him and when he lost I was broken hearted. This year I wanted Kucinich- the rest is agony.

36. What helped me support John Kerry was that he had John Edwards...
as his running mate. That made it *that much* easier to support him.

I also supported Dennis Kucinich for President this year, then I supported Edwards, and now, I support Obama.
