Mario Cuomo: Obama is the "best orator I've ever heard or seen"
Cuomo is the only orator I've ever heard who I think is better than Obama, so I found this statement very interesting.

Maybe Monica and Bill should have gotten a room instead of the Oval Office ~

8. He won't do that, unfortunately
He sees them as having to run together one way or another. He said the party needs both her and his bases in order to beat McCain. He also said that Obama is absolutely needed because he opposed the war and that's McCain's weak spot. But he also said his ideal would be Clinton first and then Obama because he is younger. He said "He'll still be a kid." - lol.

10. wrong, "Good Ol' Boy" has a very limited appeal
It works in the US, but not on a World Stage.

14. Are you kidding? Clinton was one of our most popular Presidents on the worlds stage!
He negotiated peace in Ireland and darn near pulled off peace in the ME! He was and is followed by adoring crowds everywhere he goes in Europe and everywhere else..

22. I don't know that it was his speeches though - or his personal
charm. I've heard that in person, the charisma he's got is sort of overwhelming. I can see that.

He was very skilled, no doubt.

35. Yet he could have done so much more if the Good ol' boy in him hadn't gotten in the way
In the end, he goes down as the 2nd President to ever be Impeached in the History books.

That is why he is so desperate for a shot at the helm again. Fucked-up Clinton Redemptive Complex.

13. I always have enjoyed hearing Bill Clinton speak because he has
that "good ol' boy quality"...this is not to be offensive..I think people are attracted to him because of it and he's smart. But, Obama is the best I've heard. Never have heard enough from Cuomo to be able to compare. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a president (Obama) who doesn't sound like a dufuss? * is such an embarrassment, especially when he's speaking outside our boundaries.

18. You know, I never thought so
Probably style differences, but I prefer Cuomo's and Obama's style myself.

(Besides, I keep thinking of Clinton's first convention speech. That man needed someone to get out there with a hook! Governor Clinton: stop talking!)

6. Mario Cuomo is wrong
Mario Cuomo is the best orator he's ever seen.

Obama is an exceptionally good orator --but he's no Mario Cuomo.

I've been fortunate to hear him speak many times over the years. I can hear his voice and cadence as I read a speech of his.

17. But, he was pushing him for Hillary's VP
I listen to him and watch for this to come more and more. He said he would make a good vp for Hillary and get his chance in 8 years.
I hope Obama is not that stupid as they will have Chelsea ready about than or one of the bushes.

Does he actually think that Obama is better than MLK?

Better than JFK?

Better than Churchill?

32. Praise from one of the greatest contemporary speakers
I read once that Cuomo grew up speaking only Italian and didn't even learn English till he was 8 years old

I mentioned that to my father-in-law, who chuckled and said, "He learned it pretty well, didn't he?"

Does he actually think that Obama is better than MLK?

Better than JFK?

Better than Churchill?

I was born in the 50's and I don't.
