1. This is why I want Obama to be the nominee - we need a president not a nominee
I want a Democratic president. I want to save the Supreme court from right wing rule. Sen. Clinton cannot beat McCain b/c all of the neocons will vote just to keep her out. It's not fair and it's not right. But I want a Democratic president more than just a Democratic nominee.

6. right
but they won't vote to keep obama out because he's for hope and change. bullshit, they're going to hate whoever gets the nominationm and anybody who thinks obama will get neocon support in novemeber is deluded. obama tripped himself with the nafta story, and now the press is looking at him closer, and not just mindless cheerleading. obama has as much baggage as hillary, his just hasn't been made public yet, but i'm sure the repubs wouldn't attack him, that wouldn't be fair.

13. They will trash Obama, too, for sure
But Obama is not as polarizing as Clinton. Many repugs will stay home and not vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. But they will crawl on shards of glass to vote against Clinton. They are a bunch of jerks and the Clintons pose such a visceral target. Again, it is not fair. But the fair is in October. I want to win. I don't want a nominee. Our best chance is Obama.

I'll vote for Clinton if she is the nominee. But I'll vote for the losing candidate, again. :(

5. You are absolutely right.
This thing is not nearly over and it will be a fight to the finish.

But it's still nice to know that between those statistics and the phenomenal turn-out's, this is our race to lose.

7. Can I think of ourselves as 10 points behind instead?
30 points is such a large number that it would cast more people into despair than it would call people to action.

8. If only the President were decided by popular vote.
Unfortunately, Hillary's negative campaigning is seriously jeopardizing Dems chances in several key states. People are getting so sick of the negativity amongst the Dems that they're turning to McCain.

14. That's right. Look at how well he's dealt with one little freakin' ad that ran in Ohio.
GEEEEZUS, Can you imagine what he'll do when the repukes are let loose on him? They will chew him up and spit him out. He has no clue what they are going to do to him. If he thinks the last week has been bad.....he needs a dose of reality!

12. Very good news for Obama! He is undeniably our strongest candidate against McCain.
Clinton loses as many Democrats as Obama, but draws fewer Republicans, 9 percent; McCain wins 87 percent of Republicans against her, vs. his 80 percent vs. Obama. Independents – again, the key swing group – favor Obama by 10 points, Clinton by 7.

IDEOLOGY – While McCain, as noted, has trouble with conservatives, Obama boasts a vast 60-point lead among liberals, Clinton, 50 points. Among moderates Obama leads by 21 points, Clinton by a narrower 9 points.

15. Why did they waste a poll by polling Feb. 28-March 2?
It was obvious that March 4th was going to change things one way or another.
