Stay golden Barrack, stay golden
Everyone goes negative it would actually be unique to NOT go negative. So far he hasn't and he shouldn't, not from a "how my campaign will be remembered" but because every single person claims to be sick and tired of all the negative crap in politics. That could just be them taking the higher ground for their own conscience but I think that staying positive (or at least not going negative) will resonate.

The golden rules of consultants goes like this
1.Consultants in the business world always say "fire someone" so as to cut expenses and since everyone else says it
2.Consultants in politics always say "go negative" so as to make them* more money and since everyone else says it

That is not to say that you can't point out discrepancies in records and statements but you don't need to oh let's say threaten children or tout the record of the candidate from the other party. Stay golden.

*Dems have a manically horrific history of paying political consultants more per ads that are bought-don't try to understand it it makes no sense.

11. Not living in a "swing state" (Va.) I have to say that this is my impression of ads
People have to sooner or later at least tune them out if not actually revolt against them in some way. Granted there are only two alternatives here and in the GE but why drub people with basically the same ad over and over and over and over? Oh that's right the consultants get paid per media buy (crazy!)

Okay here is what I would suggest. Some targeted ads buys according to demographics but let it be know that you AREN'T filling their lives with this for the next ## months. Let it be known that every time they see the other guys ad thank YOU for not having one following it and follow this up by buying a full minute (or two) on the local news- everyday everyone knows when to tune in to hear you talk about your policy (and it has to be on POLICY) about ________ issue. "One minute thats all I ask" or something like that. Local TV in states used to the massive ad buys (~33% of their semi-annual revenue) won't like it but you can work something out with that.

Basically be upfront with people. I don't think this is pie-in-the-sky stuff I think it would be a refreshing change AND it could stir up interest "Have you been watching so-and-so's nightly minute spots?" word of mouth type thing.

6. No--the Dem party, and the Superdelegates, want to see if he can fight.
It's good for him to take the gloves off sometimes. This is one of those times.

8. I agree, my friend. What he has been doing has been working well.
He answers honestly and is positive and forward looking, not negative. That's why people are drawn to him. He should just keep it up and ignore the naysayers... :-)

9. But I don't think it would hurt to pose a few questions--
Ask the questions the media has not been asking about Hillary. Quit letting her have a pass on so many of her statements, like the idea that she has been vetted, that she is experienced, that she's a fighter (is that the best quality for a President over a diplomatic approach?).

Then let the media take it from there. They are obviously not up to doing the job all by themselves.

This won't be seen as sleazy.

12. IMO, the MSM doesn't let Hillary get away with a single syllable.
It's been this way since way since she became senator. "Is Hillary too Liberal?" This kept popping up on all of the news shows, especially CNN. Huh? She's not, LOL, and that's the problem that we progressives have with her...

Don't get me wrong, Hillary is my senator and I've voted for her twice, as I did President Clinton. But she's not my first choice, Dennis Kucinich or John Edwards was, but I think if I had to choose, I'd prefer Obama. They are really very similar in their views, but he is the more anti-war and certainly unflappable and favors a diplomatic approach, as you said, good qualities in a president, which also characterized Bill Clinton.:-)

10. Reading an applicants resume and checking refrences isn't 'negative'-
it is being a responsible 'employer'-

We are having the 'interviews'- If her resume is flawed, we need to know.

I agree with you- Slinging mud- and baseless rumors is going negative-
Obama hasn't done this- I don't think he will.

peace~
